PRIMARY FUNCTION: Traditional Kerman Pastries
INSPIRATION: In the past and throughout the history of Kerman, people engaged In dancing and celebration at gatherings. Considering that this product Is rooted In the history and culture of the city of Kerman, the characters are designed to resemble the ancestors of the people of Kerman, featuring men with long mustaches and clothing adorned with Persian patterns. The Illustration evokes memories of the celebrations and gatherings of the people of Kerman, which they hold dear.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: For years, traditional products In Iran have faced limited acceptance. People are turning to industrial food products, and old brands hold no significant place In the market. Kolompeh are health-oriented cookies; grape syrup has been used to sweeten them, and they contain date-filled center. After eating them, you feel energized and not weighed down. The Reza brand aims to Introduce these high-quality products to the market with fresh approach.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: At first glance, It Is the colors and shapes that play their role. a product that has transcended market frameworks and leans more toward the art of Illustration. Kolompeh Is executed as line art on the background of the packaging. The audience sees It, but the main focus Is on the art of Illustration. The audience should become Immersed In the Illustration and only then pay attention to the contents of the package. The color of each product Is associated with Its flavor.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started In August 2022 in Kerman and finished In May 2023 In tehran and was launched In the Kerman market.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the production of this packaging, water-based materials have been used for coating the cardboard to ensure It Is environmentally friendly. In printing, efforts have been made to ensure the colors are sharp and vibrant so that they stand out better on store shelves. The color gold has been used to evoke a sense of value and premium quality In the product. The pastries are arranged Inside the box using food-grade wax paper.

CHALLENGE: Creating a cohesive visual Identity that aligns with culture and art, while also Implementing and simplifying it appropriately for the younger, modern generation. One of the biggest challenges for the designer has been ensuring the audience correctly understand's the product during purchase. To maintain the Integrity of the design style, they couldn't use a realistic Image of the product In the Illustration.
