DESIGN NAME: Trustlucent
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Connected Dining Table
INSPIRATION: The journey began with a client’s request not to cover the window with furniture. Even though Trustlucent is furniture, its design is inspired by trustable, Lucent, and in one word, safe friends, those who support without seeking attention. Strong and reliable yet invisible, they improve life without disruption. The design follows the same philosophy: minimalist, stable, and always ready. Light flows beneath, and its floating presence blends seamlessly, balancing function and elegance.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Thin, reinforced beech wood edges ensure durability. The 2mm oak veneer surface resists moisture and scratches. A 16mm tempered glass base provides stability while allowing light to pass through. Hidden connections enhance the floating effect, and the inverted pyramid form adds both structural strength and visual intrigue. this element could be attached to any kitchen island or wall for study, gathering or dining.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The table occupies minimal space while maintaining strength. Light moves freely beneath it, creating an airy feel. The soft oak veneer is warm to the touch, while the nearly invisible base enhances the floating illusion. Observing from a distance, the inverted pyramid structure emerges, surprising and engaging the viewer.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2023 in Tehran and finished in October 2023 in Tehran.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: A special system connects glass and wood without creating stress. The pyramid-shaped base reinforces this bond. The 16mm tempered glass offers durability, while a U-shaped aluminum profile secures it to the floor, preventing movement and absorbing potential forces. This combination ensures long-term stability and structural integrity.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions: 1400L x 700W x 750H mm
Weight: 60 kg
Dimensions could be Variable upon request.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Due to the glass base, structural analysis was conducted with three engineers to assess stress, shear forces, and glass resistance. They emphasized eliminating all tension, calling the risk glass suicide. The strictest safety measures were applied. Various woods were studied to refine the thin edges, and beech wood was chosen for its strength and elegance, ensuring both durability and aesthetic precision.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge was securing the glass without stress. By reinforcing the cross-section and placing the glass between two wooden layers, we prevented lateral or vertical pressure. Achieving a uniform tabletop surface required precise color selection. Finally, stabilizing the glass was solved with a strong aluminum floor connection.
