RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We aimed to make busy lobbies feel peaceful. We looked at how people move and feel in spaces. We tried different stones, woods, and plants. We asked people what they liked. We found that natural things and warm colors relax people. Also, we learned how to make the design fit lobbies of any size. This makes lobbies nicer to be in, less stressful, and good for work or relaxing.
CHALLENGE: Challenge: balancing luxury with diverse lobby sizes. Historic Hong Kong lobbies can feel cold. Socially, we aimed for inclusive calm. Production: sourcing consistent natural materials for varied scales. Technology: modularity to adapt, not compromise. Information: ensuring designs felt cohesive across spaces. Overcoming: detailed material studies, flexible design systems, and constant user feedback.
