| DESIGN NAME: Fleur PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sofa INSPIRATION: The Fleur sofa draws inspiration from the shape of a blooming flower bud. Like a flower's bloom, it fills the space with elegance and unique beauty. More than just functional, it embodies individuality and life. Its design, resembling unfolding petals, naturally reflects personal taste. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Fleur sofa, inspired by a blooming flower bud, brings an elegant aura and unique beauty to any space. Designed to fit diverse lifestyles, it includes 4person, 3person, and 1person sofas, along with custom pet beds. Its flexible design allows versatile configurations, optimizing space. Fleur seamlessly blends into its surroundings, becoming an artistic object that enriches and adds deeper meaning to the environment. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Piping Detail The armrest cushions feature elegant piping, adding individuality and allowing for personalized styling. The adjustable silhouette drapes freely to suit the space. Low-Back Design The low-back design provides a sense of openness, while the 430mm high backrest ensures comfort. The clean design enhances relaxation. Fixed Strap Detail Removable armrest cushions can be secured with Velcro, and the sofa corners are stabilized with fixed straps, maintaining a refined look. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Essa Fleur sofa combines beauty, comfort, and sustainability. The seat cushion features an Aerifoam layer for a plush feel, while the triple layer system of high elastic polyurethane foam, memory foam, and memory chips ensures even weight distribution and lasting comfort. Polyurethane foam offers excellent support, while memory foam and memory chips adapt to the body’s shape. The backrest and armrests are filled with goose down for ergonomic support. Designed with sustainability in mind, it uses eco friendly adhesives and high quality wood ensuring both comfort and minimal environmental impact. The objective was to blend aesthetics with functionality, offering users both visual appeal and optimal comfort. Methods included user feedback, ergonomic testing, and material experimentation. Results show that the Fleur sofa provides adjustable seating and superior comfort, highly rated by users. This design impacts furniture trends by emphasizing personalized comfort and sustainability, potentially influencing both consumer behavior and business practices in the industry. CHALLENGE: The challenge was to create a sofa that combines aesthetic beauty, comfort, and sustainability. Extensive research was conducted on ergonomic design and material innovation to enhance comfort, with a particular focus on Aeriform layers and fabric. Additionally, research was carried out on filling materials to maintain the Fleur's elegant curves without compromising functionality. Sustainability was also a key factor, and eco-friendly materials and adhesives were chosen to minimize environmental impact while maintaining high performance.
