INSPIRATION: The design is inspired by nature’s balance and the harmony of modern hybrid technology. The strong aluminum hull ensures durability and efficiency, making the yacht both powerful and reliable for long voyages. The smooth lines of the exterior reflect the motion of ocean waves, while the carefully selected colors of blue and white, enhance its connection to the sea, evoking a sense of calmness and adventure. Inside, the yacht’s spacious and thoughtfully designed cabins prioritize comfort and functionality, ensuring a luxurious experience during extended journeys.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: R65 is meticulously designed, combining advanced hybrid marine technology with high-quality materials to ensure strength, efficiency, and sustainability. Its smart layout is carefully planned to maximize space utilization, allowing seamless movement between indoor and outdoor areas. Key features include large panoramic windows that flood the interior with natural light, a flybridge with additional seating for relaxation, and a spacious aft deck, perfect for socializing or dining outdoors. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The R65 yacht features an innovative hybrid propulsion system designed for optimal efficiency and sustainability. This system offers multiple navigation modes to adapt to different cruising needs - Diesel Mode: Ensures long-range cruising with optimized fuel consumption, providing reliable performance for extended journeys. - Electric Mode: Enables silent and vibration-free operation with reduced emissions, ideal for environmentally conscious navigation. - Booster Mode: A combination of diesel and electric power that enhances overall efficiency, delivering increased performance when needed.
Thanks to its hybrid design, the R65 achieves 20-40% fuel savings, significantly reducing operational costs while extending cruising range. Additionally, the system lowers carbon emissions, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly yachting experience.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The R65 Hybrid Trawler yacht was started and completed in 2023 in Tuzla for a French client.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: R65 is built with aluminum, ensuring durability, stability, and efficiency in all sea conditions. Its hydrodynamic hull design allows for smooth and reliable performance, optimizing both fuel efficiency and hybrid power usage. High-quality aluminum is used for structural reinforcements and fittings, making the yacht robust and long-lasting, even in harsh marine environments. The hybrid propulsion system, combining efficient diesel engines and a powerful electric motor, provides flexibility and reduced fuel consumption for long journeys. Additionally, advanced navigation and control systems ensure easy operation and a comfortable experience on board.

CHALLENGE: One of the main challenges in this research is ensuring the yacht's strength while maintaining a lightweight structure and durability, given the use of aluminum in the hull. Another key challenge is integrating smart technology and hybrid automation systems to enhance control, navigation, and energy efficiency. Lastly, selecting high-quality materials that can withstand harsh marine conditions while ensuring long-term durability and sustainability remains a crucial aspect of yacht construction.
