| DESIGN NAME: Cloud Shadow PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lounge Chair INSPIRATION: The chair's design is inspired by the fluidity and harmony found in nature. Its organic curves mimic the gentle flow of wind-formed sand dunes, and by combining this form with modern craftsmanship, the chair creates a seamless balance between comfort and beauty. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The chair captures the fluidity of sand dune forms, reflecting its flowing curves, organic design and sculptural elegance. It combines modern aesthetics with ergonomic comfort, with the organic, flowing lines of the seat and backrest creating a harmonious blend of form and function. The soft fabric cover in a neutral hue enhances the clean, minimalist look, while the sculptural wooden legs provide stability and an elegant touch. The chair's construction is an exploration of balance, and the simplicity of the materials embodies modern sophistication, making it ideal for contemporary living spaces. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is suitable for leisure and entertainment. It is suitable for sitting with your feet down or bending your knees. It is a suitable choice whether you are reading a book, drinking tea or resting and playing. The product materials are mainly warm brown natural wood and neutral toned fabrics. The colors are stable and atmospheric, making it easier to integrate into the space and add color to the space design. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design had started in Shenyang in January 2024, completed in Shenyang in June 2024, and displayed in the museum of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in June in 2024. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Mainly made of natural wood and high-quality fabrics, it is made through CNC milling, hand polishing, high pressure forming, hand stitching and other processes. The production process is simple, the production efficiency is high, and the structure can be maintained light and strong. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 550mm×650mm×800mm, the solid wood of the support structure is CNC milled and hand polished. The seamless and smooth shape of the seat part is produced by high pressure molding, ensuring ergonomic comfort and forming a smooth, sculptural shape. TAGS: Streamline, Organic Curve, Modern, Leisure, Natural Form RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Combining organic, flowing shapes with functional comfort, the design explores the intersection of ergonomic design and contemporary aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from natural forms, it features a combination of solid wood, molded plywood and high-quality garment materials. The design prioritizes ergonomic aesthetics and user comfort, creating smooth ergonomic curves. CHALLENGE: Balance ergonomic functionality with aesthetic flow, creating a piece that provides maximum comfort and support while maintaining a visually compelling, organic shape that mimics natural forms.
