| DESIGN NAME: Breath Of The Glacier PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sustainable Fashion Cloth INSPIRATION: Inspired by the melting and formation cycles of glaciers, this collection symbolizes their breathing life-force. It also aligns with the International Year of Glacier Preservation and World Day For Glaciers. Eastern aesthetics, emphasizing harmony with nature, influence the design to convey the balance between ecosystems and the urgency of glacier protection in the face of global warming. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The collection is entirely made from biodegradable polyester fiber synthetic leather and faux fur. The fabric is crafted with materials that mimic the intricate textures of melting glacier surfaces, with the patterns being manually pieced together to replicate the glacier's unique forms. The textures reproduce the crisscrossing patterns of glacial landscapes. The loose, oversized silhouettes pay tribute to the grandeur and solemnity of glaciers, while varying shades of blue and organic shapes highlight their vastness and fragility. This approach promotes sustainable, zero-waste fashion, ensuring that every piece of fabric is efficiently utilized, in line with sustainable design principles. The collection also utilizes zero-waste dyeing techniques to minimize environmental impact. The fabrics are meticulously treated to mimic the textures of melting ice surfaces. By incorporating Eastern aesthetics, the design emphasizes the harmony between humans and nature, offering a moment of tranquility and purity amidst the noisy urban environment. The use of blue creates a visual expression of the glaciers’ serene and mysterious beauty, evoking contemplation on nature's harmony and balance. As a uniquely human cultural and technical product, fashion softly records and honors glaciers. Through everyday attire, we hope to allow more consumers to experience the colors and textures of ancient glaciers, raising awareness about glacier preservation. The soft faux fur not only provides warmth that humans can touch but also serves as a bridge between humanity and the harsh cold of glaciers. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Fashion serves as an environmental dialogue through this project. The oversized, minimalist designs symbolize glacier tranquility, inviting wearers and viewers to reflect on global warming and the fragility of nature.
