INSPIRATION:
It began with a blank canvas and a clear vision: to create a space where the sea’s essence merges with a fluid, immersive leisure experience. A place where the salty breeze and warm sand blend with minimalist sophistication, balancing nature and technology. Here, dining and entertainment form a sensory symphony. Music, lighting, and design harmonize with the surroundings, crafting a destination where minimalism, hedonism, and precision turn every moment unforgettable.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Its neutral palette provides visual cleanliness, connecting with the sea view. Functional spaces have been designed with aesthetic unity, combining the restaurant, bar, seaside relaxation area, dance floor, and a rest area that also serves as an art gallery. The floor joints are filled with marine sand to blend with the surroundings. The lighting adapts to natural sunlight and creates conceptual effects, as seen in the access tunnel to the wet rooms.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Numa Beach has direct access from the beach or the street. The restaurant, bar, and Balinese bed area are harmoniously connected.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project began in February 2023 and was completed in June 2023. It is located in Playa de Muro, Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
For the execution, a composition and scale of 100% natural materials were used, creating a chromatic palette with up to 10 shades of white, culminating in the natural sand’s own color, which was used for the material joints. This composition results in a seamless blend between nature and the establishment’s technical aesthetics, immersing us in a unique sensory design experience.

The project spans approximately 1,200 m², interconnected with both itself and the surrounding nature.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
In the search for construction materials that balance aesthetics, durability, and versatility, sand underwent rigorous study to optimize its integration with microcement, concrete, and natural stone.
CHALLENGE:
The key to this process lay in granulometric characterization, mineral purity, and the chemical compatibility of the aggregate with the different binders used in these materials.
