| DESIGN NAME: Shearing PRIMARY FUNCTION: Magnetic Absorption INSPIRATION: Upon viewing the image of sheep shearing, I was inspired by the narrative potential it held. Consequently, I developed this design wherein the user employs a paper clip to simulate the act of shearing the sheep. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a magnetic paper organizer stationery that draws its design inspiration from the image of an adorable sheep. It creates the visual effect of the paper clips becoming the sheep's wool. It evokes the image of a charming sheep standing on the desk, Holding paper clips as if they were tufts of wool, adding an element of fun and whimsy to the task of organizing. It not only fulfills functional requirements but also engages users emotionally through its unique and story like features. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In accordance with conventional usage, while adhering to established norms, users can still engage in emotional interactions with the product. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was launched in March and will be completed in October 2024. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Although the process adopted is streamlined to minimize costs, the design ensures comprehensive emotional engagement and facilitates a warm and meaningful interaction. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 90mm x61mm x63mm TAGS: shearing, sheep, natural, emotion RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Rather than excessively pursuing technological advancements, we endeavor to employ design methodologies to infuse overlooked everyday items with emotional resonance and warmth. This approach enables users to experience the warmth and emotional connection that design can bring to their daily lives. CHALLENGE: This product ingeniously integrates the concept of shearing wool with the functionality of a paper clip, addressing the initial design challenges and creating a unique solution.
