| DESIGN NAME: Inno Air Louvre PRIMARY FUNCTION: Air Conditioning Outdoor Unit INSPIRATION: Drawing inspiration from louvers, the outdoor unit adjusts the wind direction by rotating its blades. This addresses the issue that during the operation of traditional outdoor units, pedestrians feel discomfort from being blown by cold air in winter and hot air in summer.Having humanistic care. When not in use, it can be closed to keep out dust and water, thereby extending the lifespan of the equipment. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The louver - style outdoor air - conditioner unit is a heat - pump outdoor unit for air - conditioners. It can blow air over a wide angle, and its blades can rotate and close individually. When it detects pedestrians passing by, the blades automatically rotate or close to change the direction, thus solving the problem of traditional outdoor units blowing large amounts of air directly at pedestrians. This unit can also adjust the indoor fresh air. With an environmentally - friendly and aesthetic appearance, it supports customization. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When pedestrians pass by, the air conditioner outdoor unit automatically senses and closes the grille blades closest to them, blocking the hot air from blowing towards pedestrians. When the pedestrians leave, the louver grille returns to its normal state. When the air conditioner is not in use, the louver also closes automatically to prevent dust and rainwater from entering. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2024 in Ningbo China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The heat exchanger fins are made of graphene material, which is corrosion - resistant, anti - aging, high - temperature resistant, and offers high heat - exchange efficiency and greater environmental friendliness. The fan blades are made of bamboo products, which are sturdy and durable. They possess the properties of temperature regulation, sound absorption and noise reduction, as well as being healthy and environmentally friendly. With strong decorative appeal, abundant resources, they have a wide range of applications. In summer, hot air blows directly at pedestrians, showing a lack of friendliness and environmental consideration. Based on the exploration of this pain point, we developed a louver - style air conditioner with rotatable grilles as the key design feature. CHALLENGE: Firstly, when pedestrians pass by, a reliable mechanism should block hot air to boost comfort. Secondly, balance wind - blocking and air output to safeguard cooling and heating effects. Finally, for long - term outdoor use, figure out how to extend its lifespan. Thus, find a reliable design to solve these three problems systematically.
