INSPIRATION: The inspiration for these 3D wafer illustrations stemmed from the lack of high-quality, innovative visuals in the market that truly capture the essence of indulgence and appeal. Motivated by the challenge to create something unmatched, I combined artistic vision with advanced 3D techniques. Extensive research on texture, lighting, and composition ensured a hyper-realistic representation that elevates the product’s allure, setting a new benchmark for visual marketing in the food industry.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This 3D wafer illustration redefines visual storytelling in the food industry by combining meticulous modeling, hyper-realistic textures, advanced lighting, and precise rendering. It captures indulgence and deliciousness, highlighting key product qualities like crispness and creaminess. This unparalleled quality sets a new standard in marketing visuals, achieving an exquisite blend of technical mastery and artistic innovation that no other design in the market currently matches.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Visual appeal is essential for a product's success in today's competitive market. 3D design offers precise control over details that A.I. cannot match. Unlike traditional photoshoots, where chocolate icing may melt and ruin the presentation, 3D software guarantees flawless representation without real-world constraints. A well-crafted packaging image captures attention and shapes consumer perception, influencing buying decisions.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2024 and finished in September 2024.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: He used Blender for organic modeling and paired Cinema 4D with Redshift to create stunning 3D wafer images. Every texture was crafted from scratch using procedural techniques, resulting in a unique and authentic look that captures the essence of real wafers. Final adjustments to color, contrast, and brightness were made in Photoshop, enhancing the overall appeal. This approach showcases his true skill and artistry in every detail.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: For this project, he used the physical product as a reference and a magnifying glass for analysis, allowing him to translate intricate features into 3D software with procedural textures. Crafted from mathematical calculations, these textures create smooth or rough, opaque or translucent surfaces. This process enhances realism and allows experimentation, ensuring each detail contributes to the overall aesthetic. The result is a captivating 3D representation that showcases his vision.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge of this project was to capture the complexities of the wafer textures and the creaminess of the filling. Achieving depth, lightness, texture, and mouthwatering appeal is difficult, and creating a hyper-realistic cake requires skill. Many hours were spent fine-tuning the texture’s displacement parameters. Close-up camera positioning was crucial for capturing subtle details and highlighting the wafer’s delicious features, elevating the final render's quality.
