INSPIRATION: Drawing inspiration from Picasso rich artistic journey, the design philosophy for the main space is anchored in his iconic painting, The Dove, which symbolizes tranquility and hope. The design embraces the distinctive characteristics of Cubism, infusing the environment with an array of abstract geometric forms, innovative deconstructed elements, and a palette of vivid colors.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project focuses on the thoughtful planning of communal spaces within a congregate housing property. Central to this initiative are the enduring ideals of love and peace, aspirations shared by all of humanity and core value of the legendary Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. It transforms the communal areas into a vibrant, dynamic living environment, breathing life and depth into the space. Residents will be welcomed into an atmosphere that fosters a sense of calm.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Additionally, the gym boasts expansive floor to ceiling windows that frame picturesque views of verdant landscapes, allowing residents to engage in their fitness routines while being immersed in the beauty of nature. This harmonious integration of exercise and the natural environment enhances the overall athletic experience, promoting a sense of well being and connection to the outdoors.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was finalized in Taoyuan, Taiwan in October, 2024.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Upon entering lobby, visitors are greeted by a striking main staircase that draws inspiration from cubist art. This architectural feature artfully combines bold geometric forms with innovative techniques such as hollowing, cutting, stacking, and reorganizing, culminating in a visual representation of a dove of peace.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The streamlined design accentuates the image of the dove with its wings gracefully extended, infusing the space with an invigorating sense of movement and energy. As guests venture deeper into the building, they encounter a meticulously designed reception area on the first floor, alongside a cozy lounge and a vibrant children playroom on the second floor, all inspired by Picasso enchanting Rose Period.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To create a livable environment that is rich in artistic heritage while promoting health and sustainability, this design draws inspiration from Picasso aesthetic vision and the symbolism of doves. It also incorporates a variety of environmentally friendly methods and building materials.
CHALLENGE: Renewable wood panels and natural stone materials are used to lessen resource depletion and environmental impact, while low-carbon, eco friendly cement extends the building lifespan and lowers maintenance costs.
