| DESIGN NAME: Mudita Kompakt PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dumbphone INSPIRATION: Mudita Kompakt addresses the urgent need for mindful technology in an increasingly distracted world. Offering a simplified, privacy-focused alternative to smartphones, it empowers users to prioritize essential functions without the overwhelm of constant notifications. With an open-source OS, end-to-end encryption, and a durable battery, it ensures security and reliability. By reducing screen time, it fosters presence, well-being, and a conscious, ethical approach to digital connectivity. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Mudita Kompakt is a minimalist mobile device designed for mindful technology use. It merges essential functionalities, with an open-source OS, end-to-end encryption, and a kill switch for privacy. Featuring an energy efficient E Ink display and a durable battery, it minimizes distractions and reduces frequent charging. With an analogue feel, Mudita Kompakt promotes well-being and encourages meaningful engagement with surroundings - a refined and thoughtful alternative to traditional smartphones. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Mudita Kompakt revolutionizes mobile technology by promoting a mindful, distraction-free experience. Its best features include an energy-efficient E Ink display for comfortable reading and essential apps like maps, a calendar, and a meditation timer that encourage focused engagement. The minimalist interface ensures ease of use, allowing effortless navigation. With a custom operating system prioritizing privacy-no internet browsing or data tracking-users can feel secure. The long-lasting battery and Offline+ mode enhance reliability, making it a trusted companion for intentional living. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Constructed from a metal alloy frame with glass and plastic, it offers durability while maintaining a sleek aesthetic in colors like pebble grey, charcoal black and natural white. Its thoughtful hardware includes a MediaTek quad-core processor, ample memory, and various connectivity options, appealing to users seeking a distraction-free experience while engaging with essential applications. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The design of Mudita Kompakt reflects a commitment to minimalism and functionality, with dimensions of 128 x 70 x 12.6 mm and a weight of 164g, ensuring portability. Industrial design - Balancing aesthetics and durability while maintaining a minimalist and ergonomic form. 2. Hardware design - Ensuring the phone uses very little battery and only has the necessary parts to keep it simple. 3. Software design - Creating a simple, intuitive, and responsive user interface despite the slower refresh rate of e-ink displays and using black and white colors.
