DESIGN NAME: Vitro Mobile EV
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Autonomous Vehicles
INSPIRATION: The inspiration for Vitro Mobile EV stems from the elegance of low-profile cars and the historical functionality of the sedan chair. Combining these two influences, the project aims to create a modern, automated solution that merges sleek, adaptable design with efficient transport. The low-profile car's chassis inspired the suspension system, while the concept of leveless, human-centered loading seen in sedan chairs drove the vision for a seamless, user-friendly experience.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Vitro Mobile EV is an innovative self-moving solution, equipped with an advanced suspension system that lowers the chassis for enhanced adaptability and usability. Designed to provide a seamless, energy-efficient household moving experience, it utilizes renewable energy and cutting-edge automation technology. This project distinguishes itself by offering a practical, low-effort approach to mobility, prioritizing sustainability and ease of use.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Vitro Mobile EV operates autonomously and is charged at a central dispatch center also features solar panels on the top for more clean energy options. Users can summon the vehicle through an app by entering their location, destination, number of items to move, and preferred time. Once the vehicle arrives, it can be controlled via a touch screen on its side, allowing for easy interaction. This streamlined process makes moving effortless and efficient, offering a seamless experience for users.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2021 in California, finished the concept in April 2021, and continuing the development.
