| DESIGN NAME: Lesly PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coat Rack INSPIRATION: The design inspiration for the Lesly series coat racks is drawn from nature's leaves and dewdrops. Leaves symbolize the continuation of life and the vibrant vitality of greenery, while dewdrops are nature's gift, shimmering like precious gems. The Lesly series coat racks integrate this natural beauty into their design, featuring crystal dewdrop locators for versatile hanging, aiming to bring a sense of tranquility and freshness to home environments. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We designed these coat racks because traditional hooks have small load-bearing surfaces, which can easily lead to clothes wrinkling and falling off. By observing hanging characteristics and stress patterns, we designed separate areas for hanging clothes and scarves to ensure versatility, while prioritizing safety and child-friendliness, all incorporating rounded elements. After repeated prototyping and testing, the product was ready for launch. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Every aspect of the design is meticulously executed, highlighting both aesthetic allure and utility. The distinctive wall-mounted and freestanding coat racks embody a quest for beauty while underscoring the designer's dedication to life's nuances. The freestanding rack's 360-degree rotating hooks offer exceptional convenience, simplifying the hanging of garments and accessories. By incorporating dewdrop embellishments, the coat rack not only gains an artistic flair but also elevates its visual charm, seamlessly blending form and function. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Lesly coat rack is based on carbon steel, showcasing superior load-bearing performance, simple production processes, and practical rotating functionality, bringing more delightful experiences to homes. The production process is simple and efficient, emphasizing craftsmanship details to ensure product quality. Additionally, the Lesly series offers a variety of colorful options to meet different decorative style needs, adding a vibrant touch of color to homes. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Wall-mounted coat rack: width 190 mm x depth130 mm x height 410 mm Wall-mounted coat rack: width 400 mm x depth 400 mm x height 1780 mm TAGS: Home decoration, hanging clothes, coat rack, dual-purpose hook, caring for beloved clothes, carbon steel material. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: After extensive research, we discovered some usability issues and limitations with the main design and hook design of traditional coat racks, such as single functionality, causing garment deformation, clothes easily slipping off, and severe homogenization in appearance. The birth of Lesly can address the challenges of garment hanging with its innovative dual-use design concept, improving both product and space utilization. A stylish coat rack like Lesly can bring happiness to life, with its rotating hook design allowing for multiple purposes, effortlessly handling items of all sizes. CHALLENGE: The challenge in the design lies in creating a coat rack that is simple, unique, and practical. Tailored to different hanging needs, it features sections for hanging clothes and scarves, offering versatility and blending utility with artistic appeal. While meeting functional requirements, the aim is to make them warm pieces that enhance the aesthetics of the space. The Lesly series combines beauty with functionality, also considering flat-pack shipping and child-friendly safety design. Every line and curve showcases a unique soft beauty.
