| DESIGN NAME: U Life Liquid Silk Satin PRIMARY FUNCTION: Loungewear INSPIRATION: The design concept draws from a comprehension of both nature and technology. The designers seek inspiration from the moisture absorption and breathability of silk, as well as the low maintenance feature of lustrous satin. They integrate these two seemingly opposing attributes and develop a novel home dress that is comfortable and functional. They also acknowledge the modern fast paced lifestyle, prompting a focus on easy care and cost effectiveness in material selection to satisfy more users. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U Life Liquid Silk Satin home dress collection represents a bold endeavour by the Ubras brand to integrate fashion aesthetics with high tech materials. This collection adeptly combines silk and lustrous satin, preserving the elegant sheen and skin friendly texture of the silk while achieving significant advancements in maintenance and cost management, creating a new line of home dresses that is both comfortable and functional. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This home dress collection is meticulously crafted for comfortable home wear, ensuring an exceptional user experience. It is engineered for effortless donning and doffing, as well as convenient daily maintenance. Furthermore, comprehensive laundering and maintenance guidelines are included to assist users in preserving the quality and durability of the product. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The 25SS research and development of the project commenced in April 2024 in BIYUE, BEIJING and concluded in September 2024 in Beijing. The product for sale is anticipated to be accessible by 2025. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Ubras liquid silk film forming technology is the core process. This technology uniformly envelops the surface of each lustrous satin yarn with a liquid silk film. This not only enhances moisture absorption, breathability, smoothness, and softness of the material but also imbues the product with antibacterial and antistatic properties. In addition to utilizing high quality silk and lustrous satin, particular emphasis is placed on environmental protection and sustainability during production. The liquid silk film significantly enhances material moisture absorption and breathability while preserving fabric smoothness and softness. The incorporation of antibacterial and antistatic capabilities renders the product ideal for prolonged use, ensuring the hygiene and comfort. CHALLENGE: The design team faced challenges in integrating the properties of silk and lustrous satin while also balancing the cost and ease of maintenance. This included ensuring that the liquid silk film uniformly enveloped the yarn's surface, as well as enhancing the fabric's antibacterial and antistatic properties without compromising its smoothness. In response, the design team created liquid silk film forming technology and finally launched the U Life Liquid Silk Satin home wear collection.
