| DESIGN NAME: Patrick PRIMARY FUNCTION: Kitchen Recycling Bin INSPIRATION: In home life, the disposal process of domestic waste usually produces some very troublesome problems, such as garbage classification, opening and closing noise, garbage can cleaning, bucket lid opening and closing wall and so on. Based on these pain points, we want to explore a new garbage can product, which cleverly integrates easy cleaning, convenient sorting and silent technology, so that daily waste disposal becomes both efficient and environmentally friendly. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This product uses an innovative three-compartment independent design to guide users to easily achieve accurate garbage classification, promote resource recycling and environmental protection. Silent opening and closing technology ensures that the trash can is quiet and silent during use. Unique open cover does not hit the wall design, through accurate mechanical calculation and structural design, to ensure that the cover in the work of smooth rotation, to avoid collision with the field wall. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The operation of this garbage can is very simple and intuitive. Users only need to gently pedal the operation, the lid of the trash can will automatically slowly open, without manual lifting. After the garbage is placed, the lid will automatically return, and the entire process does not need to touch the inside of the trash can, effectively preventing hand pollution and odor. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Shenzhen in October 2023 and will be completed in Shenzhen in June 2024. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Patrick main shell is made of environmentally friendly stainless steel plate, with a degradable plastic top cover, back shell and base. The surface is smooth and has no dead corners, which is easy to clean and reduces the difficulty and time cost of cleaning. In particular, it is worth mentioning that its silent open/close cover design, the use of slow down technology, almost silent when opening and closing, to avoid noise generated during use. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 605mm x Depth 427mm x Height 388 mm TAGS: Classified design, easy to clean, silent opening and closing, no damage to the wall. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In today's increasing attention to environmental protection and sustainable development, we deeply feel the importance of garbage classification for environmental protection. We have observed that people want simple and efficient solutions to deal with the waste generated in their lives. We have integrated the concept of "sorting orderly" and "convenient life" to design this practical and beautiful 3-category garbage can. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge in the realization and research process is how to combine several functional points of "classified design, easy to clean, silent opening and closing, and not hitting the wall", and also need to ensure that the operation is simple, safe and reasonable, and integrated into the home environment. Ultimately, it is hoped that these functions will bring a more convenient and healthy living experience to the home.
