DESIGN NAME: Pay Des Fees
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Medical Cosmetic Clinic
INSPIRATION: The designer intends to create an advanced and fairy-like dreamy atmosphere. The inspiration is from the clinic's logo, which resembles a butterfly. Multiple curves mimic the gentle curvature of butterfly wings. This design reflects the brand image and adds to the space's artistry and fluidity. It also incorporates simplicity rather than luxury elements, highlighting the balance of modernity, professionalism, and privacy.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designer arranged linear light strips irregularly in the long corridor, creating the impression of moving through time. Matte and hazy materials envelop the space in a soft mist, while a framed view adds depth. The interplay of lighting and materials enhances a sense of mystery, guiding visitors into an almost surreal environment.
Lighting plays a key role in defining different functional areas. In the operating room, cold light ensures clarity, while warm lighting in reception and lounge areas fosters comfort. This careful design balances professionalism with a welcoming atmosphere.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The staff appreciates the clinic's functional and professional design, noting its practicality and convenience. Ample storage and well-planned circulation minimize disruptions and enhance efficiency. Dedicated professional areas help them stay focused and confident during procedures. Patients also express satisfaction, particularly with the clinic's comfort and aesthetics. The abundance of natural light creates a relaxing environment, and the thoughtful design is believed to ease nervousness, making the treatment experience more pleasant.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in October 2023 in Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Mineral paint, wallpaper, stone plastic composite flooring, Bolon carpet, metal, and transparent glass are widely used in the clinic. The color plan focuses on a minimalistic and professional image, mainly using beige, white, and cream colors. Soft colors are used in the reception area and general areas to create a warm and cozy look. Professional areas such as operating rooms use more neutral and calm colors to emphasize professionalism and sterility.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The clinic spans 737.1 square meters across two floors, with 396.6 square meters on the first floor and 340.4 square meters on the second. It includes a reception hall, operating room, consultation room, multi-functional room, and various treatment rooms. The first floor focuses on reception and surgery, while the second offers private VIP services. The design prioritizes smooth circulation and privacy, with separate areas for VIPs and medical staff. Natural lighting enhances the waiting areas, lounge, and treatment rooms, ensuring a functional and comfortable space.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project follows a fairyland theme, incorporating ribbons, curves, and light colors to create an elegant and calming ambiance. The design takes advantage of the site's features by preserving the patio and adding a planting area, aligning with the brand's focus on elegance, health, and nature. To accommodate numerous cubicles, the reception and aisles feature a time tunnel-like design with irregular linear light strips, enhancing anticipation. Milky brown mineral paint with a natural texture adds depth, complementing the space's refined aesthetic.
CHALLENGE: Major difficulties include space constraints and diversity of needs. Due to the diverse themes of the clinic, the designer had to meet the multi-functional needs within a limited space. In addition, the routes for staff and consumers need to be separated to strengthen privacy protection, and the rationality of circulation must be ensured. While maintaining aesthetics, it must also comply with strict regulations and professional standards for medical facilities, including the configuration of fire protection systems, arrangement of escape exits, height restrictions, etc.
