| DESIGN NAME: Ac106sd PRIMARY FUNCTION: Armrest INSPIRATION: Rooted in a deep understanding of and respect for ergonomics, this armrest introduces an arc joint and a ratchet system to enrich the dimensions of adjustment. It can flip forward or backward, rotate at a certain angle clockwise or anticlockwise, horizontally move forward or backward, and support free adjustments of its height, ensuring optimal comfort for users regardless of various sitting positions. Such a product is applicable to diverse scenes like working, studying or gaming. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This armrest aims to fully meet the arm placement needs of users in various sitting positions. Its innovative arc joint and ratchet system significantly enhance the freedom to adjust the armrest in terms of angle, position, etc., whose combination with the locking structure not only ensures more convenient adjustments, but also improves the stability after adjustments. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The pad supports 45mm horizontal movement and 360 degree swivel, while the arc joint allows for 18 degree flip and 216 degree swivel, with the holder enabling 100mm vertical movement, significantly enhancing the freedom to adjust the angle and position of the armrest. The convenient ratchet system ensures more precise adjustments and improves the stability of the armrest after adjustments. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This armrest employs recycled waste materials including tires and ocean plastic waste for its plastic rubber shell. It adopts polished die castings and matte textured plastic parts, which, through the contrast in texture, leads to a calm, restraint style. The ratchets and the joint are made of high-strength titanium alloy to make the related structures sturdy and reliable with long-term performance stability. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: adjustable armrest, arc joint, ratchet system, ergonomics, environmental friendliness RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Traditional armrests have limited freedom of adjustment, and fail to satisfy diverse needs of users. In response, this product subtly incorporates innovative structures and connecting designs to facilitate flexible adjustments, so that users can adjust its angle and position based on their heights or sitting positions and different scenarios to ensure better comfort. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was how to improve the ergonomic performance. This armrest not only allows for high freedom to adjust the position, height and angle, but also incorporates a delicate, skin friendly pad to ensure superior comfort during prolonged use. Additionally, the bottom connector, which is used to link the armrest and the chair, can be changed to adapt to most of ergonomic chairs.
