| DESIGN NAME: Digiverse PRIMARY FUNCTION: Digital Inheritance Platform INSPIRATION: Our inspiration for Digiverse stemmed from a deep concern for the uncertainty surrounding digital assets' fate posthumously. Motivated by the desire to empower users and preserve their legacies, we embarked on creating a user-friendly platform. We aim to provide peace of mind, safeguarding memories and vital assets for future generations, making Digiverse a trusted solution for digital inheritance. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Digiverse empowers users to securely add and share digital assets with loved ones, ensuring their enduring legacy. In today's digital age, uncertainty surrounds the fate of these assets after passing. Digiverse addresses this by offering a user-friendly platform that tracks shared assets and beneficiaries, providing transparency and control over their digital inheritance journey. Digiverse preserves valuable memories and ensures they are passed on to future generations. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After logging in and providing personal information and security questions, users can easily start adding their digital assets and designating beneficiaries. They have control over access periods and sharing permissions. Digital accounts, NFTs, cryptocurrencies, and documents can be uploaded securely. Digiverse collaborates with third parties to safeguard bank information with advanced security measures, ensuring a smooth and protected user experience throughout the platform. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2024 and finished in May 2024 in California, USA. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design process for Digiverse involved iterative stages from initial concept sketching to prototyping. We employed user-centered design methodologies, including user research, personas, user journey mapping, and usability testing. The tools we used are Sketching, Figma, and Adobe Illustrators. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Digiverse is a desktop app with dimensions of 1440mm x 1024mm. The platform features a blueish color scheme, chosen for its association with trust and cleanliness. We carefully considered how users can easily and securely transfer their digital assets to beneficiaries, ensuring a seamless experience. The user interface is designed to be well-organized and user-friendly, allowing first-time users to navigate the platform effortlessly and securely manage all their accounts in one place. TAGS: Web App, Web Design, Digital Design, UX Design, Service Design, Life Style, Digital Legacy, Digital Inheritance RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research involved a survey on security concerns related to digital assets, aiming to identify user worries and improve security measures. Survey tools collected qualitative and quantitative data from users. Results highlighted various security issues, prompting improvements in Digiverse's security features. Insights gained from the research enhance Digiverse's security and user trust, benefiting businesses and contributing to societal trust in digital asset management solutions. CHALLENGE: The hardest part was ensuring secure asset transfer and management. Creative challenges included integrating user-friendly features while maintaining security. Internal factors like historical and social perspectives, and external factors like laws, production possibilities, and technology, influenced our design. Overcoming obstacles like data privacy concerns and technical complexities, we developed Digiverse that ensures the preservation and transfer of cherished memories to loved ones.
