| DESIGN NAME: Modular Functional Toothbrush PRIMARY FUNCTION: Oral Hygiene Kit INSPIRATION: The Modular Functional Toothbrush aims to provide users with a better toothbrushing experience. Unlike traditional toothbrushes, it features modular functional components, allows users to replace them according to their needs and usage scenarios, and provides scientific toothbrushing guidance. These modules can be developed and iterated to improve and enrich the user experience, providing a rich and innovative oral care solution. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Modular Functional Toothbrush revolutionarily integrates conventional toothbrushes with the modular design concept to include pressure sensing, a 2-minute reminder, voice guidance, and nursery rhyme/flicker functional modules that allow users to change according to their needs and usage scenarios. These modules can be developed and iterated to improve and enrich the user experience, providing a rich and innovative oral care solution. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Modular Functional Toothbrush is equipped with pressure sensing, a 2-minute reminder, voice guidance, a nursery rhyme/flicker, and other diverse functional modules to enhance the toothbrushing experience, protect gums, and guide children to clean their teeth properly. These modules are easy to remove and replace and are compatible with handles in a variety of materials, including eco-friendly metal handles, economical conventional handles, and child-friendly soft silicone handles. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2024 in Jiangsu. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The intuitive functional module design allows users to remove or change these modules with a simple push or pull. Even first-time users can operate it effortlessly. Thanks to the unconscious design, the user only needs to place the toothbrush near the hanger, and the toothbrush can be magnetically fixed for functional module charging. This design integrates storage and charging. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Toothbrushing is one of the most important daily oral care activities for everyone. However, a lack of scientific guidance and different personal habits can lead to different toothbrushing effects. This project aims to guide people to brush their teeth correctly with functional modules. These modules can be developed and iterated, ensuring that the product can adapt and meet the personal needs of the user. CHALLENGE: One of the challenges we've faced is how to adapt functional modules to the oral situations of more people. We've studied user habits and provided pressure sensing and timer modules that are suitable for the habits of adults and child-friendly modules such as guidance and nursery rhyme/flicker functional modules so that this toothbrush can cover all age groups and achieve sustainable development. Moreover, these modules can be developed and iterated to improve and enrich the user experience.
