| DESIGN NAME: Moroccan Elegance PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Our design is inspired by the exotic charm of Moroccan architectural aesthetics, infused with a modern twist. This fusion is a tribute to the intricate patterns and natural textures emblematic of Moroccan culture, adapted to suit contemporary living. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design distinguishes itself with a material palette that emphasizes natural textures such as solid wood, cast iron, and distinctive patterned tiles, enhancing tactile sensations and infusing the space with warmth. The color scheme of blue and white evokes a serene maritime ambiance, complemented by handcrafted lighting fixtures that spotlight the space's unique character and artistic flair. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Our design creates a harmonious flow within the space, considering the daily interaction between people and pets. Thoughtful features like through-display shelving cater to the instinctual habits of cats, while ensuring ease of use for humans, seamlessly blending functionality with daily living. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2023 in Taiwan and finished in Dec 2023 in Taipei, Taiwan. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The space features an elegant smart lighting system and temperature control for enhanced comfort, employing eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient devices. The design aligns with sustainability principles, ensuring environmental stewardship is a key aspect of its realization. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 132 m2 TAGS: OneOneInterior, SpaceAesthetics, ModernMinimalist, BespokeDesign, TaiwanInteriorDesign RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Extensive research into the coexistence of humans and pets guided the design process, ensuring the space meets practical needs without compromising on health, aesthetics, durability, or convenience. The result is a living environment that is both functional and visually appealing. CHALLENGE: The challenge was to craft a multifunctional space that respects both the artistic elements of Moroccan design and the practical benefits of modern technology. Striking this balance required careful consideration of every material and feature included in the design.
