| DESIGN NAME: Almia PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multiuse Airfryer INSPIRATION: While airfryers are growing rapidly in customer ownership as one of the highest trending kitchen appliances, the function and aesthetics have been stagnant with industrial and metal forward materials. With research into the competitive market and user current sensibilities, ALMIA serves as advancement to the to the current architecture of Airfryer and complements ones interior design sense. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ALMIA represents a decor-complementary product seamlessly transitioning from an air fryer on the countertop to a ready-made meal on the dinner table, courtesy of its integrated Dutch-oven style pot. Serving as the evolution of the conventional air fryer, ALMIA embodies a soft matte aesthetic and a balanced user interface tailored to the needs of meal preparation, effortlessly guiding users from kitchen to dinner table without missing a beat OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After turning on ALMIA, simply swipe to your preferred cooking setting whether it'd be airfry, bake, or dehydrate, pick the time and temperature for your meal, and press to start. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: - SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Airfryer, Appliance, Countertop, Tabletop, Cooking RESEARCH ABSTRACT: After creating a competitor analysis chart with over 50 air fryers within the market, I defined their strengths, concerns, and flaws of the features. Two Venn diagrams were create to define the forms and features within those air fryers. One that overlapped "Microwave" CHALLENGE: Ideating around the very build of the airfryer to create a design form that harmoniously blending the basket and main body took the most consideration.
