| DESIGN NAME: Estrella PRIMARY FUNCTION: Barware Series INSPIRATION: The Estrella Barware series draws inspiration from kaleidoscopic star motifs and encompasses an exquisite collection.The name 'Estrella,' UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Crafted with an automated manufacturing process specifically tailored for bar use, Estrella series is engineered for exceptional durability and sturdiness.This collection embodies the harmonious fusion of tactile elegance and lasting durability, offering a range of glassware that exudes timeless aesthetics while being robust enough for use in both bar settings as well as in homes.The collection has 11 pieces,including glasses for whiskey,shots,wine,m OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in 2020 the reseach, development and the production of the whole serie was finalized in 2023. Estrella barware series was lastly exhibited in Ambiente fair in 2024. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Crafted with automated pressed soda-lime glass, the Estrella collection embodies the fusion of artisanal quality and industrial sustainability. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Smallest shot glass in the serie is about 60 mm height, 51 mm diameter. The tallest Coctail glass in the serie is about 197 mm height, 109 mm diameter. TAGS: Star, kaleidoscopic, robust, durable, barware, sturdiness RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The most noticeable point observed in the research was the intention to create a durable and elegant bar series, specifically tailored to venues with high turnover such as bars and restaurants, where products are frequently washed and dried, aiming for resilience against breakage. CHALLENGE: Applying star motifs proportionally to all glasses in the series in the same size wasn't easy. When all glasses stood side by side, all glasses needed to appear harmonious with each other, and it had to be possible to extract and cast from the mold in terms of production criteria.
