| DESIGN NAME: Illuminated Skyline PRIMARY FUNCTION: Exhibition Booth INSPIRATION: The primary inspiration was the urbanistic charm of New York City. The creative journey commenced with hand-drawn sketches, laying the groundwork for the vision of the GVA Lighting booth at Lightfair 2023. One could imagine a cityscape materializing within the booth, animated by tall white panels ready to be illuminated by GVA's leading lighting products. The evolution from sketches to 3D modelling refined the concept into a captivating experience that captured the essence of urban illumination. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The booth design, crafted for GVA Lighting at Lightfair 2023, graced the esteemed halls of the Javits Center in NYC. This project was a homage to the spirit of urban landscapes, casting a radiant glow over the cityscape with GVA's superior lighting solutions. Within this milieu, buildings transcended their mere structural identities to become beacons of life, each standing as a testament to the company's remarkable achievements in tangible, real-world environments. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: GVA Lighting stood out among the 300+ exhibitors at the Javits Center during Lightfair 2023. Within this vibrant space, thousands of attendees immersed themselves in innovative tools and solutions for their projects. The booth showcased the award-winning Color-Stream technology, the HL4 Highlighter, and other pioneering products, capturing the essence of urban brilliance. As attendees reveled in the luminous ambiance, GVA Lighting took pride in being a significant contributor to the booth's success. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project commenced in March 2023 in Toronto and concluded in May 2023 in New York, USA. It was exhibited at Lightfair International in May 2023. |

By meticulously examining the successes and challenges encountered by these competitors, the study seeks to extract valuable insights that will guide future strategies and spur innovations in lighting design and technology. This exhaustive approach guarantees a nuanced understanding of the competitive landscape, setting the stage for astute decision-making and pioneering advancements. CHALLENGE: The creative concept leverages GVA Lighting's Color-Stream technology, which allows the product to stand out due to its remarkable performance and unmatched flexibility, meeting the inventive demands of lighting designers. To showcase this innovation, a distinctive booth concept was conceived: a skyline representing an abstract city, meticulously constructed with specialized aluminum profiles and tailor-made fabrics, embodying the seamless fusion of form and function.
