| DESIGN NAME: Smarty PRIMARY FUNCTION: AI Keyboard App INSPIRATION: Smarty tackles a pivotal challenge in AI chatbots by integrating them into a keyboard. Despite AI chatbots being powerful assistants, their current interface is primitive. Users currently lack context, needing to explain scenarios, pose questions, and manually transfer responses, resulting in a disrupted flow. Smarty introduces a context aware interface, enhancing and streamlining interactions. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Smarty stands as an AI Powered virtual keyboard designed to enhance real-life connections. Functioning seamlessly as a virtual keyboard on smartphones, it harnesses the power of the latest AI language model across all applications. Equipped with built in AI personas, Smarty excels in paraphrasing, completing, replying, and generating new content in response to user instructions through its AI chat bot. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Smarty's versatility makes it an invaluable tool for a myriad of uses. Users can employ Smarty to politely reject text messages, negotiate rent with landlords through emails, compose captions for social media posts, and even simplify the explanation of medical reports into everyday language. Additionally, Smarty's capabilities extend to reading various types of links, including webpages, tweets, YouTube videos, or podcast episodes. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started in April 2023 and finished the current state in January 2024. The app is in constant iteration and ongoing updates will introduce additional content. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: One of the primary challenges faced by AI chatbots is the absence of a tangible form and context. Smarty is designed to address this by providing an AI chatbot with a tangible presence that seamlessly integrates into people's phones, offering a user experience that is both intuitive and seamless. Functioning as a virtual keyboard, Smarty not only effortlessly transforms every input box into an AI chatbot session but also enriches interactions by adding real world, natural context. This innovation makes Smarty a highly accessible tool for a wide range of users. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Smarty is an iOS app that is available on the App Store. The app has a size of 89.5 MB and supports iOS14.1 and later devices. CHALLENGE: The AI chatbot, hailed as a major invention of the past decade, is a powerful tool. Yet, its accessibility remains basic, with users having to actively engage on the chatbot's website and manually transfer responses, creating a less-than-ideal experience. Recognizing this, there's a need for more seamless approaches to enhance AI chatbot accessibility for smoother user interactions.
