| DESIGN NAME: Interstellar PRIMARY FUNCTION: Customized Cabinet INSPIRATION: Based on the boundless imagination of the unknown universe, this project infuses a home with the soul of technology and fashion via the minimalist design. The color scheme of white, blue and nebula green enables occupants to feel as if in the vast universe. To ensure visual consistency and a geometric aesthetic, a beveled angle of 45 degrees is extensively used, and black thin waistlines run through the whole space. The bar counter, resembling the tail of spaceships, gives a sense of technology. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This futuristic project aims to create an exclusive space station for Generation Z keen on fashion forward. It deeply integrates classic elements and dreamy colors derived from the universe, and uses white dot matrix panels able to shimmer with an iridescent glow, blue gradient acrylic panels and nebula green decorative panels, standing as a tribute to art and technology. The massing interlocking structure, Scarpa stacking design and a beveled angle of 45 degrees highlight a geometric aesthetic. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The countertop height of kitchen cabinets can be customized based on the varying heights of users, and the layout is compliant with the cooking workflow. The use of abyss mirrors creates a unique visual effect as if facing a time tunnel. The multifunctional room with an gaming desk and an cabinet bed meet daily needs of users. Collectibles cabinets allow users to express themselves and add a sense of ceremony. The custom lighting enhances the interaction between users and the living space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The decorative paper using excimer process realizes a 360 degree antiglare surface that is friendly to skin and boasts 4H surface hardness. It also resists fingerprints and light scratches, achieves higher stability, and is formaldehyde free and odorless. Blue gradient light transmitting acrylic panels, nebula green decorative panels, transparent acrylic grilles, stainless steel and coated glass, paired with the recessed handles featuring the diamond cut design, create a cyberpunk vibe. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Whole house customization TAGS: Generation Z, interstellar theme, futuristic style, massing interlocking structure, Scarpa stacking design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Growing up in the Internet era, Generation Z has been exposed to multiple cultures in virtual communities, fostering an open mind and a spirit of innovation. They are no longer satisfied with traditional home designs, instead prioritizing personalized aesthetic expression and living experience. In response, this project centers on cosmic elements favored by Generation Z, aiming to create a living space that features aesthetic appeal, high quality, a sense of ceremony, and a relaxed ambiance. CHALLENGE: The challenge lies in how to subtly integrate interstellar elements into the home space for a minimalist futuristic style. This project employs the massing interlocking structure and Scarpa stacking design, reminiscent of interstellar mecha via geometric structures. Blue gradient light transmitting acrylic panels first applied to the home furnishing industry exude aesthetic appeal, blurring the boundaries between the present and the future while creating a mysterious atmosphere.
