| DESIGN NAME: Tiramisu PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pouf INSPIRATION: One of the most practical objects at home and at work is a smart compact seating object and a side table that you can easily move around the sofa. The idea is to create an object that is easy to hold and move. It has layers like a Tiramisu dessert and it can become a pouf or coffee table. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tiramisu pouf family is an iconic companion to any living setup. Thanks to its contemporary silhouette it is easy to grasp and move around. The name also supports this function. Tiramisu is a very popular Italian dessert and the name comes from Pull Me Up - Cheer Me Up (Tirami Su). It comes in different sizes with a cushion or tray top. It can be used to welcome your guests thanks to its wide seating, or simply as a side table with its wooden table top options. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Tiramisu is a family of poufs and coffee tables. The product has a full base with no extra feet. It can easily be moved around without extra effort. It comes in both wooden and soft seating top to serve in two different functions. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Body structure is constructed from wood and upholstered. The seat is cushioned with 35-density foam. Tray is crafted from wood. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: small square pouf 500 mm x 500 mm x 500 mm / large square pouf 750 mm x 750 mm x 460 mm / wide pouf 1250 mm x 500 mm x 500 mm TAGS: pouf, design, contemporary, iconic, comfort, practical, minimal RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As living spaces continue to shrink in size, the importance of compact furniture becomes more noticeable. Research explores the growing trend of smaller living spaces in urban settings, driven by factors like population density and sustainability. Multi functional and easily movable pieces offer practical solutions in diverse living scenarios. Based on the researches tiramisu has been created to fulfill various aspects such as design, functionality, and psychological well-being within constrained spaces. CHALLENGE: Crafting a shape that not only invites touch but also instinctively prompts individuals to lift, the design merges functionality with an effortlessly minimal silhouette. This creative approach seeks to engage users on a tactile level, enhancing the interactive and aesthetic elements of the form. By seamlessly blending the practicality of graspable contours with a commitment to maintaining simplicity, the result is a synthesis of form and function that sparks a unique and intuitive connection with its users.
