| DESIGN NAME: Urban Serenity PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Inspired by the fusion of modern and natural elements, this residential project employs classic grey wood tones against a palette of varying textures, complemented by crisp white elements to create an ambiance that's both contemporary and cozy. The design cleverly plays with the interweaving of light and shadow, showcasing delicate layering through material and lighting choices. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This residence is defined by its sleek lines and abundant storage space. The living room features horizontal shelving and a dining wall with imitation stone material, offering a unique visual effect, while the private areas maintain a serene atmosphere with their pure, streamlined design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design emphasizes the openness and coherence of space, seamlessly connecting communal areas to enhance household interaction. All functional zones are meticulously planned for enhanced usability and comfort. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2021 and finished in Otc 2021 in Taipei City. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Advanced imitation stone technology and furniture craftsmanship are utilized, paired with customized functional storage designs. Materials are chosen for their texture and durability, with lightweight materials used for elements like the TV cabinet for an elevated sense of space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 96m2 TAGS: CHEN YU INTERIOR DESIGN RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This design is rooted in a deep investigation of modern living spaces, harmonizing utility with aesthetics, and through a profound understanding of color, materials, and lighting, achieves a balanced domestic environment. CHALLENGE: The challenge lies in mastering the use of proportions and materials within the constraints of a modern urban space, crafting a home that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing while maintaining simplicity and practicality in design.
