| DESIGN NAME: Mountain River Landscape PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bathroom Vanity INSPIRATION: Inspired by the famous Chinese painting "Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains", we broke away from traditional design and created an extra-long artificial stone washbasin without splicing after 168 hours of fine polishing, which gives a look of rolling hills, with water meanders down from the surface, to mimic the flow of rivers and streams. It creates a landscape painting for the bathroom, conveying the ideal concept of integration of human and nature. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We broke away from the traditional bathroom basin size and custom made a 4-meter long wall-hung cabinet and countertop using independently developed skin-feel artificial stone basin. The texture feels as soft and warm as your skin. Consistent material in and out, daily stains and scratches are easy to clean and repair. One-piece molded countertop makes it difficult to hide dirt and easy to repair. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1. The custom made 4-meter long wall-hung cabinet and countertop shows off the elegant brand temperament. 2. It has large storage space, and the drawer partition can be categorized in an orderly manner so that the items can be seen at a glance. 3. The radar-sensitive lighting system is embedded in the cabinet and light up when you are near. It creates a soft ambiance while the assistive lighting is on. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in October 2023 in Guangzhou. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 1. The custom made 4-meter long artificial stone one-piece basin took 168 hours of carving and polishing. 2. Skin-feel artificial stone washbasin molded in one pice feels as soft and warm as your skin. One-piece molding makes it impossible to hide dirt and grime. 3. The cabinet uses North American black walnut as the base material, carved in the shape of mountains and rivers using a three-dimensional solid wood relief process, showing a majestic ambience. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The custom made 4-meter long wall-hung cabinet and countertop of Mountain River Landscape bathroom vanity shows off the high-class and elegant brand temperament. The hardware partnered with German brand "Hettich", utilises a sliding rail with smooth experience and superb load-bearing capacity. The surface of the walnut drawer panel is made of eco-friendly paint process, which maximizes the texture of the wood. Waterproof and moisture-proof, more suitable for the humid air in the bathroom. TAGS: 4m extra long customization," RESEARCH ABSTRACT: With global carbon reduction targets, polymer composites have become a new trend for sustainable bathroom development in the future. We bear the idea of carbon reduction into every detail of the design. The independently developed skin-feel artificial stone washbasin molded in once piece has very high density and releases much less carbon dioxide during production, daily stains and scratches can be polished as new with sandpaper and very little water. CHALLENGE: The challenge of this project was to design bathroom cabinet that is both recognizable and in line with current sustainable target. The project created a new aesthetic bathroom space with an oriental flavor by using skin-feel artificial stone one-piece washbasin while creating a 4-meter long wall-hung cabinet and countertop with landscape elements outlined in relief.
