DESIGN NAME: Imoment
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Low-Alcohol Wine Series
INSPIRATION: Use the beautiful moments before sunrise and sunset, and integrate the visual impact of scenes into the packaging and design interfaces, to help young consumers better experience their own moments of joy when opening i moment drinks.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Young consumers tend to consume low-alcohol beverages in order to achieve a slight buzz that brings relaxation, joy and share with others. Compared to many similar products on the market, the important selling point is presenting stunning, beautiful, and unforgettable moments through design. By blending visual and physiological intoxication, the product provides an immersive experience of slight inebriation.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Firstly, the team create the concept and organize the natural materials required for it, which are then drawn into standardized forms. Then design for different products and packaging containers according to their respective shapes. After the design plan is output, proceed with the sampling process. Each type of sampling process goes through at least three rounds, ultimately resulting in high-quality products through constant refinement.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in June 2022 and finished in August 2022 in Hangzhou, and was exhibited in September 2022.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: To present a visually experience of transparent gradient sky colors, large areas of shrink film are used to wrap transparent glass bottles and aluminum cans, ensuring visual integrity and compatibility with the shape of most containers.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designers found that many low-alcohol drinks use a lot of text or illustrations to convey information, emphasizing fun. However, i moment aims to provide consumers of relatively low-priced alcoholic beverages with a higher quality experience and emotional guidance for light drinking, so the team focus on defining and designing accordingly. Combine color emotions with the taste of the drink to better provide consumers with spiritual value and commercial differentiation.
CHALLENGE: In terms of art, the gradient colors are difficult to reproduce consistently across different mediums. Therefore, designers redesigned and established a standard format that could adapt to different shapes. In order to achieve the technical requirements of the design, tried seven different techniques, and successfully balanced the effect and cost by using heat shrink film.
