| DESIGN NAME: Flaskk One PRIMARY FUNCTION: Water Dispenser INSPIRATION: Drawing inspiration from Flaskk's core values, the design of Flaskk One embodies elegance and functionality. As an Italian startup, we prioritized the aesthetic appeal of our product. By minimizing the internal mechanisms, we achieved a visually sleek appearance. The distinctive front panel seamlessly blends with the cylindrical structure, while the use of light colors and wooden details, including a handle, adds a touch of warmth and serenity. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Our goal was to create a simple, accessible, and sophisticated water dispenser that seamlessly integrates healthy beverages into everyday life. By combining cost-effective technologies with high-end features, we've made wellness accessible to a wider audience. With its calming wood and light color palette, Flaskk One blends effortlessly into any space, revolutionizing the concept of beverage dispensers. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Flaskk One operates effortlessly with a user-friendly interface. It transforms by combining water and functional additives to create personalized beverages. The key frames involve user input, witnessing the process, and receiving their customized drink. Its superior performance stems from its intuitive design, precise measurements, and advanced technologies. Flaskk One ensures a seamless experience, personalized outcomes, and high-quality beverages. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Tel Aviv in July 2022 and ended in Torino in January 2023. Designed in Italy and Israel. Manufactured in Italy. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Our design process for Flaskk One incorporated cutting-edge production technologies, including thermoforming and robotic trimming for the main panels, CNC machining for the wooden cover, vacuum casting for the front panel and water drip tray, and laser cutting for the drainage grid. These techniques ensured precise shaping, exceptional craftsmanship, and complex shapes with superior finish quality. Each production method was carefully selected to uphold our design and functionality standards. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Type: Free-standing Dimensions: 168 (h) x 51,5 (l) cm Dispensing area height: 30,5 cm Maximum load dispensing area: 5 Kg Weight (full load): ca. 65 Kg TAGS: Automatic Dispenser, Wellness, Physical Products, IoT, Smart Products, Retail, Circular RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Design research for Flaskk One focused on understanding user needs and preferences to inform the design process. We used a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, surveys, and observation. Participants included users, experts, and professionals. The research provided insights into convenience, customization, and sustainability, shaping the design decisions. It influenced business strategies and contributes to the discourse on wellness technology. Flaskk One aims to positively impact individuals and society through user-centric design. CHALLENGE: During the DFR phase, we faced the challenge of achieving high-end quality using cost-effective thermoforming technology. Our focus was on creating a sleek design, simple assembly processes, easy maintenance, and compliance with health requirements. To address this complexity, we employed a combination of shells and 3D printed components. The design features a metal frame housing the hardware, with two large-scale thermoformed shells attached. The service area is a 3D printed Monoblock frame made from certified materials, encompassing all user interface elements with meticulous attention to detail. The structure can be easily opened for maintenance, and all plugs are conveniently located at the rear of the machine on a dedicated platform.
