| DESIGN NAME: Babyfirst Genius Pro R156 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Safety Seats INSPIRATION: As children aged from 0 to 7 are naturally energetic, they tend to fidget in baby car seats. However, the cramped seating space of conventional baby car seats often leads to bumps and injuries. To solve this problem, the design team maximized the seating space to provide ample room for children, without compromising the essential protection performance, ensuring that children are comfortably escorted on every trip. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Babyfirst Genius Pro R156, a baby car seat for children aged from 0 to 7 years, features ample seating space and a wide range of reclining angles in both rear and forward facing positions, satisfying diverse sitting and lying preferences of children at different growth stages. Its scientifically partitioned cushions offer tailored support and protection for the head and spine, while ensuring optimal breathability and comfort. Moreover, its adjustment has been simplified for more convenience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Parents can enjoy enhanced convenience while holding their child, as the seat enables 360 degrees of infinite rotation and flexible reclining angle adjustment with one hand. The support leg can be effortlessly extended and folded back, allowing users to verify its proper status based on the change between red and green indicator bars. As children grow older, parents can securely fasten them using the car seat belt while the 5 points harness system can be stored in the seat without disassembly. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design and development of the Genius Pro R156 started from September, 2021 in Ningbo. It was then introduced to the market in November, 2022. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The PET cloth cover features a gradient color scheme, with its raw materials sourced from recycled PET bottles for sustainability. Composed of slow rebound memory sponge, PU foam molded into one piece, and impact resistant EPS material, the shock absorbing headrest improves protection via a scientifically partitioned design. The seat part uses highly breathable 4D polymer fabric for added comfort. The aviation grade aluminum support leg can be easily folded back to free up more space in the car. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 465*485*725mm TAGS: Baby Car Seat, Adjustable with One Hand, Large Reclining Angles in Rear and Forward Facing Positions, Ample Seating Space for Ultimate Comfort Super Side Protection RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design team identified several defects in the current baby car seat market through extensive research. Many of them are too cramped for children to sit comfortably, lack sufficient breathability, and offer poor side protection. Additionally, adjusting the seat can be rather inconvenient for parents who are simultaneously juggling their little ones and their luggage. To address these issues, a series of targeted enhancements have been implemented on the Genius Pro R156. CHALLENGE: The unique Super Side Protection system integrated into the Genius Pro R156 synergizes with the honeycomb side protection module, air bag, high performance EPS material, and double shells, to offer utmost protection against side impacts. Its seat part uses skin friendly and highly breathable fabric, while its shell has been reinforced to enhance strength and impact resistance. This substantially improves comfort and safety for children on every trip.
