| DESIGN NAME: Sprout PRIMARY FUNCTION: Proposal Ring INSPIRATION: Sprout is inspired by Tagore's poem, 'The spring flowers break out like the passive paint of unspoken love'. The designer vividly expresses the budding love in the poem, wrapping the diamond symbolizing eternal love with organic surface. It seems like there is a blooming flower in a naturally growing plant vine. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sprout is a proposal ring designed by the designer to propose to his wife. The designer hopes that this proposal ring can be very unique in design and have its own style. It adopts an organic ring set with a single round brilliant cut diamond. And it is produced using 3D printing and manual polishing. Simple and memorable. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Wear it on the middle finger of the woman's left hand like an ordinary engagement ring. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Jan 2021 in Shanghai and finished in June 2021. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The designer first uses 3D software to complete the design, then uses a 3D printed wax mold to cast 18K gold, then manually polished, and finally inlaid with high-quality diamond. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 20 mm x 0.7 mm x 24 mm for physical product. TAGS: Jewelry, Diamond, Ring, Gold, Organic, timeless RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Sprout is a ring designed by the designer to propose to his wife, and with the help of this unique ring, the proposal was successful.
