INSPIRATION: Inspired by Ryoanji Temple in Kyoto, the quiet and peaceful space blends with nature, allowing a peaceful atmosphere to permeate the space.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Modern Interior Design synthesizes art, architecture, design, lifestyle, and culture.
Modern Interior Design is mainly concerned with the relationship between interior design and the physical world. The designer wants to bring out the beauty of nature into our designs through different natural materials such as wood, stone, and metals.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the space facing south, the angle of sunlight is different in different seasons. Alternating changes of light and shadow, in various shades of wood. Let seemingly simple materials produce unexpected natural beauty. Tranquil and elegant.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2022 in Taipei and finished in December 2022 in Taipei.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Shadows thus succeed in creating a surprising and playful dance out of entities that, when experienced in isolation from each other, are firmly rooted and immutable.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total area of the project is 100 square meters. Based on meeting the functional requirements, the designer always follows the design rule of "Oriental Zen". There are no flashy colors to render and no complicated elements to stack, so the design returns to its pure essence. Use the natural changes of light and shadow to create a natural and comfortable space atmosphere.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In Praise of Shadows is an essay on Japanese aesthetics by the Japanese author and novelist Jun'ichirō Tanizaki.
CHALLENGE: In the limited and narrow space, there are large modern floor-to-ceiling windows, to create a classical atmosphere among modern materials. The designer cleverly turned the disadvantages into advantages, using large floor-to-ceiling windows and the light and shadow changes generated by the sunlight facing the south through the windows to project on the natural wood material. The natural and aesthetic light and shadow changes create a spacious and peaceful atmosphere. , trying to create the tranquil atmosphere of the ancient city of Kyoto amid modern metropolitan buildings is the biggest challenge of this work.
