| DESIGN NAME: Simplo PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sofa INSPIRATION: The source of inspiration for this furniture design is the concept of simplicity and functionality. The designer was inspired by the minimalist approach to design and sought to create a piece of furniture that would blend seamlessly into any living room environment, while also standing out as a unique and visually appealing addition. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This furniture design features geometric and simple lines, with no non-functional details, and a unique form that is designed for comfortable sitting. The design incorporates modularity, allowing for separate components to be connected to create harmonious objects. The play of layers and the suspension of seemingly different elements provide a unified whole, which is a specific point of the work in terms of aesthetics. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This furniture design is intended to create a harmonious and functional space that enhances the user's experience. The modular components can be customized to fit the user's needs, and the design interacts seamlessly with the user's living room environment, providing a cohesive and integrated space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The body structure has been made from wood. It has 30 density foam in its seat. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The size of the sofa is 120*100*53 cm. TAGS: Simplicity, Functionality, Minimalism, Geometric design, Modularity, Harmony, Aesthetics, Sustainability. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To design this project, the designer researched about: -Modern manufacturing techniques and materials that are sustainable and durable. -Ergonomic design principles for comfortable sitting. -Minimalist design principles and aesthetics. -Modular design and customization options. CHALLENGE: The main goal of designing this project is to create a piece of furniture that is both visually appealing and functional, while also incorporating sustainable materials and manufacturing processes. The main challenges include ensuring that the design is ergonomic and comfortable, while also incorporating modularity and customization options that allow for flexibility and user preference.
