| DESIGN NAME: Residence T PRIMARY FUNCTION: Private Home INSPIRATION: Inspiration from Modern French aesthetics, a timeless palette of classic tones was created for a fresh yet relaxed feel. Pared-back tones was an immediate source of inspiration, set the stage for a prized collection of rare ceramic pieces, art and handpicked furniture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Residence T adjoins three standalone houses to make an ultra-lavish abode for an affluent couple. The 14,000 sq.ft. residence channels modern French aesthetics, melding neoclassical influences with subtle patterns and forms. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Three standalone houses with a huge space, we transform each houses with different functions so the usage of space become more effectives. The first house is to public space for guest gatherings and events, the second house is for family and private entertainment space, while the third house is totally private for the client own use. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Jan 2020 in Hong Kong and finished in October 2022. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The client preferred a moderate French design style and a color palette that primarily features white colors. With a large house spanning 14,000 sq.ft., we carefully planned the layout based on European house layout style, taking into account the client's love for hosting guests and friends for house dinners and gatherings. To address this need, we created a grand foyer with high ceilings, a grand living space, and dining area that were planned layer by layer around the foyer. This layout allows for an open and spacious feel that can accommodate large numbers of guests while still maintaining a sense of intimacy and elegance. Additionally, we created another living space that is separated for the client's private use, which provides a more intimate and private area for the client and their family to relax and unwind. The use of a moderate French design style and white color palette throughout the entire area creates a cohesive and elegant look that is both timeless and sophisticated. Overall, our design approach appears to have been thoughtful and intentional, taking into account the client's preferences and the demands of the space to create a functional and beautiful living environment. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 14,000 sq.ft. interior space various functions and needs have to provide and well organise by types of areas. CHALLENGE: The most challenge part is to review tones of different collectables, rare pieces and artworks, incorporated and matching all of them into each room and space.
