| DESIGN NAME: Jotape 3D Duo PRIMARY FUNCTION: Key Art Image INSPIRATION: The inspiration was the common materials of the day to day. The floating elements bring through the soft and round shapes the sensation of softness and lightness. Even though it was a simple representation, the result was thought of something different from the usuall. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The idea was to create an image that brings all the features of the product through visual elements like the cushion and the foam. Thus giving the sensation of softness that the product needed. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: 2 months, Franca, Brazil FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Computer Graphics, 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Rendering Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The boot was modeled using photographs as a reference and hard surface 3D modeling techniques. For modeling we used the software 3ds Max. All the textures made using leather texture and some photoshop brushes. Vray was used for rendering. Nothing on the scene was scanned or photoscaned. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 5000 x 5000px 300dpi TAGS: 3d boot, cgi shoe, shoe, shoe modelling, 3d shoe RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The work was executed based mainly on the previous experiences in other works for several companies of the sector footwear, in very natural way. Feedback was collected mainly online about the quality of the 3D itself as well as the sensations that people had in the first contact with the art. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was that through a few elements and textures the sensation the product needed. Never forgetting to focus on the product itself as a primary element. Another complicated point was the modeling of the shoe itself, where I had to reproduce every detail of the product.
