DESIGN NAME:
Avaton Premium
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Water Bottle
INSPIRATION:
We approached the packaging for Avaton as the visual expression of this blend of the mystical and the natural.
We designed a tall container that is half clothed in black and created a typography for the water’s name that further conveys the mystery and value of the ‘sacrosanct’.
Avaton packaging has been conceived as one of arcane elegance and austere purity.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Avaton water is a water produced in the Holy Mountain Athos, a sacred place where all habitats are monks for thousands of years. The design of Avaton water bottle is like the uniform of a Mount Athos Monk, with humility and respect to the thousand history of the Mountain it contains one of the most pure water of the world.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The interaction happens from the first time someone touches the special bottle shape and feel.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
Project duration was 2 years and all happened in Thessaloniki Greece.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The research was made in holy Mountain Athos and by examining old photos of monks that lived in the monasteries.
CHALLENGE:
The challenge was to design a modern packaging with all the respect to the religious tradition of Mount Athos, in order to match the old with the futuristic we canme with the idea of a modern look and feel.

AVATON WATER
PROFILE:
AVATON water originates from artesian springs at the Monastery Mountain of Mount Athos, an UNESCO world heritage site secluded from human civilization.
This remote rocky outcrop has been frozen in time after hundreds of years of isolation, protecting the purity of the land and its natural springs, keeping it fresh and unobstructed by the modern world.
