| DESIGN NAME: Wash Base 718 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cafe and Laundromat INSPIRATION: Located near the beach, the location is not bad, but the area is not modernized and is lined with old buildings. It has the potential to be transformed into a wonderful cityscape. This space is a stepping stone to changing the atmosphere of the city. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: White, natural brown, and bright bluegreen accents. The space has a fresh coloring like a beach house by the sea. It is a complex of a cafe and a laundromat. These are seamlessly connected without any boundaries. It is a place where one can spend a relaxing time as one pleases. It is visited by many guests every day, young and old, men and women alike, and serves as a landmark in the community and a place for social exchange. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Guests who come for the laundromat can spend their free time in the cafe until their laundry is done, guests who come to the cafe to enjoy their time at the cafe can finish their laundry at the laundromat in the meantime. A children's space is also provided, so guests with small children can easily visit the laundromat. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Ceiling : wood grain sheet , painted square wood / Wall : painted board , pvc tile / Floor : pvc tile , mortar SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Project area : 162.65 sqm / Category : cafe and laundromat TAGS: laundromat , cafe , wood , mortar , concrete , louver , neon , paint RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Guests can spend tea time at the table while waiting for their laundry to be finished, coffee time with friends on the outdoor terrace, remote work time while drinking coffee at the counter table, or dessert time with gelato to satisfy their hunger. The colorful space with many plantings is special to the people in the community. CHALLENGE: The laundromat and café are seamlessly connected without any boundaries, making the space spacious. Seats are set up everywhere. Bench seats, counter seats, table seats, outdoor terrace seats, and other seating options are available. The space is also equipped with a children's area, so mothers who are busy raising their children can come here to rest while they do their laundry. The walls and floors are finished with PVC, which is stain-resistant, easy to wipe clean, and hygienic. The space is accessible to all ages.
