DESIGN NAME: Empty Information
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Communication Books
INSPIRATION: In the fast-paced era, everyone is flooded by fragmentation information every day, so this is an inseparable topic with people. Because the author wants to show that the content of fragmentation information of most marketing numbers is empty, the first material the author comes up with is a balloon. The balloon is filled with air. The more air is injected, the easier the surface of the balloon is to burst, which is similar to the characteristics of contemporary marketing numbers.
At the same time, because I wanted to capture people's attention with the gimmick of showcasing the appearance of marketing accounts, I incorporated AR interaction into the book, simulating the behavior of people clicking on the cover of their interest on social accounts. People can interact through AR scanning to further understand the significance of this work.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In the fast-paced era, people are filled with fragmentation information every day. People spend an average of 11 hours in front of the screen receiving information through various channels. Due to the wide variety and quantity of information, people are gradually only paying attention to the appearance of fast food information, and rarely paying attention to its interior. Therefore, many bloggers and official account have only gimmicks and no real content, but they can still get a lot of praise and collections. When people receive information, they become numb and reduce their brain thinking. So I use this design to remind and satirize people and marketing accounts.
The book is made entirely of balloon material, with simple patterns painted on it, each representing a marketing account's behavior. The material of the balloon represents the emptiness of the marketing number content and people's inner emptiness, and the simple pattern can attract people's attention and interest in this design.
When people become interested, they can interact by scanning the patterns on books on their phones, similar to when people click on the cover of a book they are interested in on a social account. When people scan the graphics, dynamic balloon graphics will appear in the mobile phone, and they will find that the black pattern on the book is the silhouette of motion graphics. Each dynamic image represents a behavior of this marketing account, but the material is still a balloon, the shape is the same or even the essence is the same, without generating any unnecessary content.
The first figure represents money, which means that money can determine the content of big data pushed to the audience, and money determines the fragmentation information people receive. The second figure represents falsehood, meaning that the marketing account may appear rich in content, but in reality it is just some meaningless empty talk. The third figure represents repetition, which means that many marketing accounts on the same topic have the same content, without any difference. The fourth figure represents editing, which means that the marketing account will cut, edit, and reorganize the real content into a fake content and publish it to the audience. The fifth figure represents embezzlement, which means that many marketing accounts steal others' works without the consent of the original author or signature.
This design excerpts the behavior of most self media today to satirize and remind people to actively and deeply think when receiving information in the fast-paced era, rather than just staying on the surface of things.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Books and AR interactions can best reflect the theme of empty content. Posters can be posted anywhere to attract people's attention, thereby promoting the content the author wants to express. I hope that while people are experiencing this design content with interest, they can also actively and deeply think in a fast-paced era, not just stay on the surface of things.

CHALLENGE: The most difficult part is to show the behavior of the official account abstractly and substantively, and also need to reflect the emptiness of the content. Through the author's constant imagination and imagination, he finally decided to use the material and modeling method of balloons, which well reflects the title "Information is Empty", and the modeling can also see the content of the theme at a glance.
