| DESIGN NAME: Blazing Love PRIMARY FUNCTION: Community Platform INSPIRATION: Many frauds and mistreatments of lgbtqia plus occur every day around the world and people have more and more fluidity in sexual orientations. Our research has found that people are looking for someone with similar lifestyles and interests they can trust to talk to, exchange ideas with, or be friends with rather than looking for sexual partners or marriage. BlazingLove aims to be the platform that lgbtqia plus can trust to find their matches and become a sustainable community of equal love. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: BlazingLove.com is a community platform that nurtures love equality for lgbtqia plus and creates a sustainable community by embracing the idea of Sexual Fluidity and attempting to solve the problems of fraud, and mistreatment of people using smart matching functions, smart search, events, and news that allows users to create their lifestyle and interest-based profiles and browse for their matches with the best experience throughout their journeys both online and offline events. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: New users can browse articles, news, and events on our platform without registration to learn more about LGBTQIA plus, gender equality, and sexual fluidity. If they would like to find their match, they have to create their profiles. The profile will be checked and approved at different levels to ensure the credibility and trustworthiness of every user. Once the profile is approved, they can start searching for their matches, joining events, or posting articles in the communities. The more activities they join, the higher levels they will be. The platform will gather data on activities they did both online and physical events as their lifestyles and interests and use them to build rapport and suggest matches for them with the spider chart dashboard. Higher-level users could have personal chats with their matches and be friends with a higher number of people within the community than the lower ones, this is to encourage them to participate in the activities especially the physical events so we can verify them face-to-face and ensure that the platform will be a place where people have treated equally no matter sexual orientation they are, they can come and share their love to the world freely, safely without bullying or mistreating each other. The platform will also screen out any negative posts or articles automatically to ensure that BlazingLove will be a smart and sustainable community for lgbtqia plus. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The beta version is online since 2014 online at www.blazinglove.com, the research was conducted in Bangkok, Thailand during 2021-2022. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: BlazingLove.com is designed and developed using Web3 technology and spider map analysis to provide secure and accurate matches to users. We have initially gathered and built accurate prescriptive algorithms so the system is able to suggest interest-based matches and events to the users. Our platform also includes pre-screening profiles for fraud prevention and to ensure the safety of our users through meet-and-greet events/services that we are hosting. The interaction and interface of the platform are designed to ensure that the users are will gain the best user experience since they first join the platform i.e. it is usable, useful, desirable, accessible, credible, findable, and valuable to the users. We choose the technology that enables us to create and foster the platform to become a sustainable and trusted community where lgbtqia plus can express their sexual fluidity freely with no fraud and mistreatment. TAGS: Trusted and sustainable community of equally love RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Sexual fluidity has been used in the context that gender identity or sexuality of people could be changed fluidly according to their context of living. There are social issues and arguments regarding sexual fluidity, gender identity, and equality. One of them is that they do not want to express their gender identity publicly, while it is an important personal factor to segment customers for marketing purposes. Doing business with this group of people needs to manage this sensitive issue properly. Hence, this research aims to first coin the term sexual fluidity and empathize with the desires and the pain points of the users with sexual fluidity and then use the findings to design an updated version of BlazingLove that will solve the issue using the user experience (UX) concept. BlazingLove.com was selected to be a case study for this research as its users are likely to have sexual fluidity due to the nature of the business. Mix methodology research was designed and developed by employing a quantitative questionnaire survey and qualitative in-depth interviews with experts. The result shows that sexual fluidity could be defined as a personal sexual orientation that may or may not be expressed physically, which can be changed according to personal preferences and does not concern genders and it can be changed anytime according to the person's living context. Further, this group of people preferred to be segmented by their lifestyle, interest, and preferences, rather than their gender identity. The updated version of BlazingLove was therefore designed by using the new segmentation to identify their target users and develop personas. CHALLENGE: Since the research is both qualitative and quantitative, the challenges were how we triangulate the data with existing data we gathered from the beta version and turn them into valuable features for our target users. The other challenge we have found that delays our development is the matching algorithm that we would like to have a highly accurate suggestion, we are continuously improving its accuracy as well as its ability to verify profiles and identify frauds and ill-behaviors. NAME: Independent Muffin Limited Partnership PROFILE: Independent Muffin Limited Partnership has officially been founded early in the year 2019 by Juthamas Vadhanapanich (Jay) and Suthasinee Susiva (Knot). Prior to the registration, it has been operated an academy under the name of A Cuppa Academy, which aims to be number 1 in the digital academy that truly helps people surf and deal with the changing business ecosystem. A Cuppa Academy has a slogan of "Sipping good knowledge with the best experience." Over years of operating, we have taught hundreds of UX/UI designers, digital marketers, entrepreneurs, as well as corporate managements equipped them with knowledge that rarely taught in Thai Universities with both theoretical and practical aspects sharing among mentors and students. Apart from A Cuppa Academy, Independent Muffin also offers services relating to digital marketing, branding, and service designing for hotels and restaurants as well as consultation on digital business-related aspects. The name "Independent Muffin" comes from our founders' lovely pets. Indy is the name of a Feral Cat adopted by Juthamas Vadhanapanich, two years ago. Indy is almost 5 kilograms in weight, very committed and grateful. While Muffin, Suthasinee Susiva's pet, is a cute little long hair Chihuahua. Muffin is two years old in December 2019 with a weight of 1.7 kilograms. Muffin is a very intelligent and energetic dog who never stops moving unless falling asleep. Although Independent Muffin was named after this lovely cat and dog, we are serving our customers with high commitment, gratitude, intelligence, and fully energetic. |
