| DESIGN NAME: Fukla PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pendant Light INSPIRATION: The idea was to create a light fixture that would be practical, aesthetic, and easy to replace. The idea found its solution as the "draped" lamp. The lampshade draped like a garment on a hanger, can be replaced easily and quickly with another one and thus get a new atmosphere in the room. It was necessary to get a lampshade with its character, and therefore to the simple form, I added decorative elements that let the light through, and an exciting play of light and shadow is obtained. Since lighting fixtures are observed most of the day when not lit, the lamp had to be interesting in itself and when not on. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is designed so that it can be used both independently and as a group of elements. Attaching the lampshade to the bulb is done without the necessary tools and can be done by anyone extremely quickly and easily. This allows the user to change the atmosphere of the room quickly and easily, by replacing and combining lampshades different in material, color, and decorations. The great variety allows the free lamp to be used both in private homes and in public buildings, from a children's room and living room to a bar or an office. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Depending on the choice of material, the direction and strength of the light can be controlled. If a metal lampshade is used, the light will be directed downwards and will be stronger. If the lampshade is made of plexiglass, the light will be scattered in all directions, the main one will be down, and the one on the sides will be nice and soft and will not irritate the eyes of users. Variations of colors and decorative elements will enhance the play of light and shadow, giving atmosphere to the surroundings. The length of the cable used is another feature/option that the user can play with. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Metal and plexiglass are used for production. A CNC machine is used to obtain the shape and decorative elements. One monolithic element is obtained, which, by bending, produces a finished product (with the metal lampshade, painting is also required). Because it consists of a single element, there are no welds and other mechanical assemblies, the production and maintenance of the product are very easy, and the possibility of defects is very small. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 200 mm x Depth 150 mm x Height 300 mm TAGS: Light, Pendant Light, Ceiling Lamp, Architectural, Plexiglass, Multi-functional, Monolithic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: After researching the chandelier market, I noticed that most of them consist of several parts that are attached to each other by a mechanism, and "additional work" was required to attach to the lamp. The body I designed solves these problems by being designed to consist of a single element (thus eliminating assemblies) and the chance of a defect occurring is minimized. Attaching to the bulb is extremely easy and quick, and will not be difficult for most users. CHALLENGE: Many variations and combinations of shapes, sizes, and colors were tested. I was looking for the optimal shape that would have character and be easy to manufacture and maintain without making the product expensive. I added decorative elements to make the product unique and easier to recognize. I optimized the attachment of the lampshade to the bulb to make it easy and quick to replace.
