| DESIGN NAME: Artra Residence PRIMARY FUNCTION: Private Home INSPIRATION: The space was designed with the intention of creating a bold interior with contrasting tones. A mixture of acid mirror and wall effect paint with timeless and chic accessories creates the maximum impact in the space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The 95 Square meter space was created for a small family of 3 with the idea of maximizing the space for all the family members. Numerous removal of existing walls to reconfigure the space. Mixture of a series of materials like the acid mirror, aluminium gold plated, laminates and effect paint to create the contrasting tones and bold interior. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The space was created for the small family to mingle and yet allowing them for individual space. It has provided them an interesting space to live in. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was completed in 2021 and took about 6 months to complete. It was located in the Central region of Singapore. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design has a mixture of Italian Paint Effect, Acid mirror, Aluminum Gold Plate and Laminates. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Size of the Space 93 Square Meter. TAGS: Bold, Contrasting Tone, Comfort, Contemporary, Slick RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We have tried out various color schemes on the effect paint and how it mange to blend in and contrast with the other materials used. Wanted to strike the balance where the acid glass with a matt and clean look can actually blends in with the bold dark color effect paint. CHALLENGE: The hardest part of the activity was to create the correct texture, strokes and tonality of the paint effect on the curved ceiling which stretches from the wall to ceiling.
