PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Freestyle Wireless Charger

INSPIRATION:
At present, most of the existing wireless charging devices are single coils, which cannot meet the needs of users to charge multiple electronic devices at the same time, which limits users' usage scenarios. Therefore, a new wireless charger is urgently needed to meet users' demand for charging multiple devices in use scenarios, and to free users' unconscious actions when using wireless charging devices.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Simple wireless charger is a kind of free wireless charging device which chooses flexible materials as the base. Its internal core is arranged in multi-coil matrix to increase charging efficiency. The whole system adopts reel structure and detachable charging module,which is easy to be stored and breaks the restrictions of the use scene. The flexible charging base module breaks through the traditional magnetic adsorption charging base structure.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Before charging, the soft reel is connected to the power supply to adjust and distribute voltage levels to meet the charging requirements of different electronic devices; During the charging process, the mobile phone can be placed at any position on the flexible base, which can reduce the bondage feeling of users' unconscious behavior in the process of using wireless charging devices. After the end of charging, pull the reel to the end to automatically spring back and roll up for easy storage. The whole process is free, efficient and convenient.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in October 2022 at in fushun, liaoning province, China, and finished in October 2023 at in fushun, liaoning province China.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Simple wireless charger chooses nylon fabric as the main body of flexible material, its internal core uses multi-coil structure and WPT system. By optimizing the coil structure, increasing the permeability of the medium on the transmission channel and changing the spatial arrangement of the coil, the coupling coefficient of the coupling mechanism can be further improved, and the number of loads can be increased, so as to realize the function of charging multiple devices at the same time and improve the efficiency of users.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
As a new form of charging, wireless charging has many possibilities. It breaks the existing single wireless charger mode in the market and satisfies the wireless charging of multiple electronic devices at the same time, which is a new demand of wireless charging equipment. The design of Simple wireless charger uses flexible materials as the charging base, and the overall form is such as drawing shaft and bamboo, which can realize the user's demand of charging multiple devices at the same time, and enlarge the user's freedom in the use process, improve the charging efficiency and enrich the use scenario.

CHALLENGE:
This design project focuses on the subjective initiative and unconscious actions of hands-on experimental users in the process of using wireless charging devices, and analyzes the different needs of users in different usage scenarios. The difficulty of this design project lies in in-depth understanding of the logical relationship between product structure and the needs, pain points and functions summarized in the experiment. And realize and harmonize the rationality and fit of the logical relation.

Liaoning Petrochemical University(School of Art and Design)

PROFILE:
As the first petroleum school of New China, Liaoning Petrochemical University (LNPU) was founded in Dalian in 1950, relocated to Fushun in 1953 and renamed Fushun Petroleum Institute in 1958. When transferred to the governance of the Liaoning Provincial Government in February, 2000, the institution changed its name to Liaoning Petrochemical University with the approval of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in February, 2002. In March, 2010, a partnership agreement was signed between LSHU and Liaoning Provincial Government, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). With the development for the past 69 years, LNPU has evolved into a comprehensive university, specialized in petroleum and petrochemical engineering with eight well-coordinated disciplines which include engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, education and art. LNPU was graded as excellent in the 2007 MOE Undergraduate Teaching Assessment. Designated by the Ministry of Education, the university is now a training base for high-level ethnic talent and a preparatory base for ethnic undergraduates. Meanwhile it is a training base for urgently-needed undergraduate talent in petrochemical industry in Liaoning province. Up to now, this university has turned out over 120,000 graduates for China’s petroleum and petrochemical industry, most of whom have become backbones in management and technology. To achieve quality development, LNPU highlights key roles in talent cultivation by upgrading disciplinary structures and teaching resources, which has now greatly improved teaching efficiency and comprehensive strength. The university covers an area of 1890 mu (126 hectare), and a floor area totaled 532000m2. The campus library houses 2.9343 million paper or electronic books and 42 research databases. Various sports grounds cover 92.700m2. The teaching and research facilities reach 68 million yuan. The university consists of a college and 16 schools with 52 undergraduate majors. On-campus full-time students total 18,400. It offers 2 joint doctoral programs, 14 first-tier master’s programs, 62 second-tier master programs, and 6 master degree programs including Master of Engineering (covering 10 fields), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), and Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc), Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) and Master of Fine Art (MFA). It is also listed as a first-class discipline (Grade A) university in Liaoning province.
