| DESIGN NAME: HD Tiger PRIMARY FUNCTION: Luxury Cabinet INSPIRATION: The product is inspired by the retro trend, with dark gray as the base color. The cabinet in matte cobalt blue, Marsala red, and other vibrant colors adopts tiger patterns- Roaring tigers in forests, which we co-branded with Ivana. The space retains the city-specific prosperity and enjoys the interest and charm of natural wildness. Its functions can meet the now urbanites’ pursuit of a healthy light food life. And the open layout provides a leisurely social place for young groups. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It comes in vintage trendy color matching with tiger-striped patterns to create a retro wild luxury space atmosphere. From the perspective of light eaters, we designed an island for oil-fume free cooking. Attractive and functional, the high cabinet is designed with a built-in fridge, an oven, and a storage cabinet module. And the storage cabinet module is used to store tools and food. The suspended system makes the cabinet visually lightweight. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The high cabinet has a built-in fridge and a storage cabinet module, which can save space and is applicable to the cooking lines of users. Three areas of the cabinet have specific storage purposes for detailed classification and convenient access. The central island is equipped with an induction cooker with bottom exhaust, thus it fully meets the needs of light cooking. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The cabinets are made of self-developed original G6 panels, which can continuously absorb and decompose indoor formaldehyde. They are resistant to bacteria with an antibacterial rate of over 99%. The door panel consists of metal PET materials with a baking lacquer finish. The central island adopts a metal rack and a solid color quartz countertop of the same color as the lacquered door panel. The metal rack is designed to be suspended, which enables the island visually lighter. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: With dark gray as the base color, the product adopts matte cobalt blue, Marsala red, and rose gold as main colors, all being retro, low-key, and high-saturated. Warm tones meet cool ones, creating a low-key but luxury kitchen space. The metal rack of the central island is suspended, echoing the suspended system in the Chinese kitchen area for a light visual effect. Research direction: the functional layout of the cabinet and color matching; Social impact: the product keeps the traditional function of open-flame cooking in the functional design. The space layout provides a leisurely social place for young groups to cook and entertain their friends. CHALLENGE: The difficulty we met was the practicality and uniqueness of the Tiger cabinet. To this end, designers proposed a functional partition concept for the Chinese kitchen and light food area according to the house type. The Chinese kitchen with a suspended system keeps the traditional function of open-flame cooking. The light food area is specially designed with an island for simple light cooking and interactive communication with friends.
