| DESIGN NAME: BSR PRIMARY FUNCTION: Purifier and Sterilize INSPIRATION: BSR can not only dry towels, but also sterilize towels with UV-C light, and improve the problem caused by germs. BSR with a swingable hanger, it can increase the airflow in the space and dry the towels quickly. The interface of BSR can adjust air volume and power of UV-C light to speed up the drying and sterilization of the bathroom. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: BSR is a wall-mounted towel rack that can clean, sterilize, and circulate air in bathrooms and towels, improving the problem of spreading mold and germs caused by dampness. The intelligent control interface can adjust the operating power independently or manually to speed up drying and sterilization. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: BSR can be opened when the user slides the interface to make BSR smile. After opening, the purification and sterilization intensity can be adjusted. The hanger on both sides can be swang separately, and it can be matched with the App operated on a mobile phone. When replacing the filter, pick up the BSR and it will stop immediately to ensure the safety of the user when replacing the filter. After replacing and putting it back, you need to slide the interface again to make the BSR smile. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in July 2022. In October, it cooperated with HITACHI and continued to discuss and modify it. In November 2022, made the prototype. The details were adjusted at the beginning of this year, and the second sample was prepared to be produced in late March. The production discussion process is all carried out in Taiwan. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: BSR uses a micro-turbine to introduce and purify the air, which can increase airflow and dry towels quickly. Through the adjustment of the power, the space can maintain air circulation to achieve the drying and disinfection of the whole space, so that the bathroom is not easy to produce a peculiar smell. The air duct is also the place to hang the towels, which can lead the air to the sides and then be discharged from the air outlet. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: BSR size, single side hanger 55cm, middle core main unit diameter 9cm, total length after assembly is about 119cm. BSR modular hanger is convenient for transportation and easy to disassemble and assemble for cleaning. It is hoped that through the design of composite household appliances, small space families can save money, reduce the burden brought by the size of household appliances, improve the odor brought by pets, and obtain a good quality of life. Existing problem : 1. High humidity in bathroom environment The humidity of Asia’s climate is relatively high, and the bathroom is even more humid. Such an environment gives bacteria a comfortable growth environment, which is easy to causes a peculiar smell in the bathroom space. 2. Poor ventilation of sanitary space Showering or washing your hands can lead to standing water on surfaces. Most people turn off the lights when they leave the bathroom, but at the same time they also turn off the ventilation system, which makes it difficult for the water vapor in the bathroom to dissipate, which starts to breed bacteria and musty smells. 3. Towel material is easy to breed bacteria Most towels are made of cotton. Small wool balls will increase the water absorption ratio, and the bathroom space is not easy to be exposed to the sun, which is easy to breed bacteria. Using these towels full of bacteria will cause skin problems and easy for bacteria to invade the body. CHALLENGE: In the beginning, the BSR hanger is not swinging on both sides. However, some inconveniences are found. Because of the cover of the towel, the inverted electromechanical device is easy to get damp and can not dissipate heat. We discuss with HITACHI's electromechanical structure experts and modify the hanger to separate from the rack and can rotate, which can not only alleviate the heat dissipation problem of operation but also increase the hanging space of towels.
