| DESIGN NAME: Silk Bloom PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fashion Accessory INSPIRATION: The inspiration for this brooch lies in a passion for incorporating the elegance of fine art into the ordinary and redefining the boundaries of wearability. The design blends diverse materials and motifs, such as circular ceramic spheres, to evoke the undulating flow of waves and the soft curves of a woman's body. The concept is rooted in the idea of harmony and equilibrium that emerges from a juxtaposition of divergent elements, drawing inspiration from the works of Kusama and the intrinsic allure of human form and natural surroundings. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The handcrafted brooch is a stunning piece of jewelry that has been designed to complement ceramics, brass, and Thai silk. The ceramics used in the brooch are hand-painted, adding a unique touch to every product. This accessory can be worn as a bracelet, aesthetic clasp, or necklace, making it versatile and practical. The traditional style of the jewelry has been combined with rarely seen elements to create a unique and elegant piece. The Thai silk used in the brooch represents the lustrousness of women's hair, adding a touch of sophistication to the accessory. The colors of the brooch blend harmoniously, creating a cohesive design that complements any outfit. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The brooch can be clasped on the body or any clothing accessory to provide an aesthetic combination of fine art used in everyday use. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials: Ceramic, Brass, and Thai Silk. Brass for durability and stability of the ceramic, Thai Silk for aesthetic beauty. Etching and engraving used for finishing details. Ceramic molds vary for unique products, making the process unpredictable. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Two ceramic beads are enclosed in brass on both sides. Brass outer layer 1.2 cm and ceramic beads 1cm Two 3 cm chains attached to the brass ceramic bead outer layer A 6.5 cm X 1cm handpainted ceramic tube attached to both the brass chains A 1.5cm X 1.5cm Brass wax carved tube over the ceramic tube in the middle A 4mm hook attached to Brass tube and Tassel Bell 1.5cm X 1.6cm Tassel bell 3.5cm Thai Silk TAGS: brooch, bracelet,Jewelry, Accessories, Ceramics, Brass, Thai Silk, Circles, fashion, aesthetic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This research aimed to create a line of high-end handmade jewelry and accessories that blend the sophistication of fine art with the practicality of everyday use. To achieve this goal, we carefully selected vital elements, such as intricate brass drawings, spherical diameters, and molds, and subjected them to a series of trials to showcase their unique qualities in the design of a brooch. Through iterative prototyping, we refined the design to ensure a perfect balance of form and function, resulting in a stunning final product that epitomizes the fusion of art and wearability. CHALLENGE: This project posed a significant challenge in bringing together ceramic and brass, given the unpredictability of the ceramic molds and the precise fit required for the brass handles. Overcoming these challenges involved extensive experimentation and fine-tuning of the design in achieving the desired balance of form and function, resulting in a stunning brooch that showcases the fusion of multiple materials in a seamless and captivating way.
