| DESIGN NAME: City Archipelago PRIMARY FUNCTION: Biophilic Creative Blocks INSPIRATION: Ecology as a catalyst Water and green are key to urban islands. They serve as green infrastructure to help manage storm floods and improve citizen experience, and are the brand-new epitome of urban brownfield transition. Ecospace in concentrated urban areas holds lasting appeal for locals and entrepreneurs and breathes new life into the region. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Ecospace in concentrated urban areas holds lasting appeal for locals and entrepreneurs and breathes new life into the region. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Blend and economy A blend of office, residential and digital innovation functions maintain the streets' vigor. Transit-oriented development in the east is economically balanced with large open space in the west, thus enabling the project to progress. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project is located in Zhenru Subcenter, Putuo District, Shanghai. The design started in March 2021 and completed in August 2021. The construction is in full swing. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: No distractions Business service facilities on one side of the city trunk road provide an organic defense against noise and visual distractions to optimize biophilic experience. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 15 hectares TAGS: Brownfield transition, green infrastructure, low-carbon streets, innovation center RESEARCH ABSTRACT: AIntention of dynamic islands The green buildings arranged in a casual manner highlight the intention of biophilia and vitality.
