DESIGN NAME: Intelehealth
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Mobile Web Application
INSPIRATION: In rural area, community health workers plays a crucial role where availability of doctors are rare. Since community health worker come villages, they struggle in navigating app features, working in no network area, capturing patient symptoms etc. Multilingual Mobile App is designed with deep research for understanding mental model, aspirations, daily tasks and accessibility constraints of underprivileged people. Web application is made for remote doctors to improve their work efficiency.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Over 400 million people all over the world don't have access to basic health care and majority of them are from rural areas. Intelehealth Mobile app helps community health workers to take these services to the remote areas and using web app doctors can serve remotely. We redesigned the new User Experience to solve challenges like reducing time to complete task, easy navigation, reduce training time, clear diagnosis process, seamless doctor appointment booking and make tracking easy.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Mobile application can be used by health workers and community health workers on their mobile device while examining patients. Web application is used from doctors on the laptops or desktops, while reviewing patient details, online visit booking, conducting a live call or prescribing a medication to them.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project started in January 2022 and completed in Octorber 2022. This project was executed remotely by different team members, Design Studio headquarter is in Nashik.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: User-Centered Design Approach, applied various qualitative and quantitive research methods to identify and articulate problem statement and to arrive various solution ideas. Ideas are iterated several times, tested to arrive on final design solution.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The design is made for android mobile application and web application. The same design is used for developing progressive web app - PWA

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Used research methods - user interviews, empathy maps, competitive benchmarking, stakeholder workshops, card sorting, surveys, usability testing to identify & articulate problem statement and to arrive various solution ideas.
CHALLENGE: Empathising with people in rural areas, their struggle in using digital platforms, understanding their constraints, language barrier and coming up with very simple, obvious, easy to understand solutions was hardest part in the project. Enabling application to even work in no network area, updating user with current status and setting up the right expectations while usage was another challenge.
